This will be another huge flop, just like Amazon tried a few years ago with their own smartphone.

A NOPE AI Phone for 1500€? Nah... I'm good... I don't want a Sam Altman data bot living with me. Google and Apple are already bad enough when it comes to privacy no need to take it to a dystopian level of zio survaillance...

So OpenAI will collect everything you do on it, and you have to pay for it. So you pay to the company money, to collect your data which sales it, to the highest bider. hahahahahaha

I want nothing to do with "Action Streams" that makes using my phone feel like one big, never ending chore. Not to mention the rest of the massive data gathering and AI slop that comes with it.

so it is possible to use dimensity, I wonder why google wasted their time with tensor (to be clear to any tiktok scrolling midwits looking to reply with vague nonsense their end goal was clearly cost reduction using their own security chip and NPU)

I'll buy dumb phone that this AI phone. The rest of the money, I'll buy Nintendo Switch 2. Definitely much worthy 😎

This is the real security threat, not China.

16GB ddr6 + 1TB ufs5.0 combo is tipped to cost about $340 according to DSC on weibo. Add this to very expensive SoC , no way D9600 is less than $260 , when Snapdragon 8 series may be about $320 for gen6.

3 components alone more than $600. Oled from Samsung can be at least $60.
This is why some Chinese brands may stop making Ultras.

Only iphone pro max manages to sell well despite obscene prices outside USA ( in many markets even 256gb variant is more than $1500)

They won't even feel it when we don't buy it, they will just cancel it, if it's not successful. As from our taxes they get reimbursements from globalists, they just need to keep their esg scores in check

Nobody wants an OpenAI SpyPhone that tracks everything you do, sells all the data to everyone who wants to buy, and then builds a social credit score out of you.

the custom dimensity soc is the only intriguing part. i wish google uses a dimensity soc at some point because clearly, they have no intention of designing a soc properly

People got paranoid over Windows 11 Recall feature, yet now we have this? A worse scenario right on your most personal device? Yeah, I bet this will be as successful as that Facebook phone or Amazon phone. YouTubers will hype it up for a few weeks before they all go back to their iPhones.

Considering the data harvesting, unless OpenAI give this for free and pay users dividends through revenue sharing, I would consider it as a total scam.

since they emphasizing AI, $2000 asking price will be considered generous
