Yes, if it offers things worthy of the $3000 you pay, in that case I wouldn't mind paying €3000 for that flagship.
This is why I told you to do a spec check comparing a 2026 flagship with one from 2016, Are you telling me there has been minimal improvement?
Are you telling me there hasn't been a huge leap in display, performance, charging speeds, battery capacity, cameras, etc.?

Then again, most people are not looking to buy 2k€/$ phones, those who do mainly do it because they are pursuing a status symbol, so it will be Apple or Samsung.

We should be able to get a definite improvement, even if minimal, over previous year's iteration at the same price: this is tech maturation (quality/cost ratio gets better with time). If the minimal improvement comes at 10-20% increase in price you're not getting an improvement, you're just paying more for a more premium model (Q/C ratio stagnates or gets lower).

Lord Bennington, 19 Apr 2026"Not even 10 years ago a flagship was 500-600€; today ... moreYa! And in the early 2000s, an Motorola or Nokia were over 800$ providing almost nothing compared to any of these phones that now are in 3-500$ range.

Also, without that kit is cheaper than 2000€, on par with the launching price of Ultra from Samsung or Pro Max from Apple.

Lord Bennington, 19 Apr 2026"Not even 10 years ago a flagship was 500-600€; today ... moreNever heard that tech progresses and matures? 🤔
Compare the specs of a 2000 € plasma 20 years ago and a 2000 € OLED TV today. 🤷♂️
The only reason phones cost as much as they do is because people are addicted to them, they're status symbols and people want to believe there's progress happening so keep buying and are happy with whatever bread crumbs of new and exciting they get. Nothing a phone does now that it didn't 10 or even 20 years ago. Got another toycamera with a toylens which cost the manufacturer about what did the microSD slot, 3,5 mm jack and the notification LED we lost. 🤣
Stopped progressing even as far as RAM and storage quantity goes for ~5 years now, resolutions/dpi is nowadays lower than 10 years ago, keyboards which cost actual money and engineering that some phones had 10-20 years ago and actually contributed to the phone's core functionality also long gone...

Just do a spec comparison of the top flagship from 2016 and a top flagship from 2026.
Do you really expect that 2026 flagship to cost $500-$600? SMH 🤦♂️

Benjamin Mileykovski, 19 Apr 2026It's a camera phone and cameras are also circular and ... moreWhich camera is circular? 🤔😄
Lenses are circular and there are reasons for that, the only reason this is designed the way it is is to fake the look of a big lens. Actually looks kind of silly when one sees separate lenses/sensors within. 🤷♂️
But who cares about design anyway. The circular design could be used to fit ND or other filters, but vivo says nothing on the product page if that case in the 600 € 🤦♂️ kit has a filter threading.

QuantumZero, 19 Apr 2026I would love to purchase one, but I simply refuse to spend ... moreI can already imagine the Pixel 11 being marketed as the tenth anniversary model*, but I'm almost certain the only new features will be the MediaTek modem. Forget about new sensors. If that were the case, they'd already be bragging about it. Maybe they'll tweak something and then start asking $1,400 for the base version.

TBH, the affordability is not really an issue for me, the issue why I cancelled my pre-order is simply the phone/camera does not seem to be providing the value I expect from the price tag.
It's in the territory where I would rather pick Fujifilm or Ricoh as a camera I have in my pocket.

And the Oppo one will be even more expensive... now if you get tired of it after, say, 6 months, nobody will give you even half of what you paid for the new one...

QuantumZero, 19 Apr 2026I would love to purchase one, but I simply refuse to spend ... moreTrue that. But it's not like this is much of an upgrade over the previous iteration, there are downgrades too, e.g. half a stop slower tele than on the X200 Ultra. 🤷♂️

I would love to purchase one, but I simply refuse to spend 2000€ on a phone. It's not that I can't afford it, because I can. But it's hard-earned money and I feel like, as much as I love new tech, I would be wasting it because I don't really need it. This applies to Apple's and Samsung's flagships as well, albeit with a small caveat: x300 Ultra is at least worth the money (well, maybe not if you think chinese prices are almost 50% of european ones) from a technical standpoint.
Not even 10 years ago a flagship was 500-600€; today you need to spend 3 times that... And most companies (looking at you, Samsung and Google) don't even offer actual upgrades from the previous iteration. Things are simply getting ridiculous.

Baiting people with some ... moreSo much weirdness around this launch... From weird hyping up for months, "global launch event" and then a webpage with prices of accessories and alleged "deals" but waiting weeks for price of phone which ends up being more insane than anyone thought... This kit suddenly having only the long lens...
Definitely not very appealing the whole thing, any slight interest I may have had long gone. 🤷♂️ But to each their own.
