There's a very good reason why 16:10 is still the preferred choice, even among laptops. And btw, productivity in portrait 16:10 or 16:9 is just as good.

These would've been great, had they been a 3:2 or 4:3 aspect ratio instead of 16:10.
16:10 aspect ratio s-u-c-k-s for productivity use especially in portrait orientation.

They do that, from time to time.
I have bought S22 in September of '23 and I'm paying it on 2 years contract - 15€ per month!!!
It's about 350$ in total!
You cannot get cheaper than that, really.
I'm in Serbia, with A1, Austrian provider, which has the best phone prices on the market, but still this one is unsurpassed by any!

Last year, we don't get the 11" Tab S. This year, we don't get the 12.4" Tab S+. I wonder why Samsung is doing this. Could this be another of Samsung's market research on consumer preference for Android tablets' screen size? It looks like it.

zero proof of that and Samsung, Oppo, Huawei, Honor, Vivo, and Xiaomi tablet sales numbers plus statista site data on tablet OS market globally invalidates everything you said. Even if they were cheaper tablets anyway, so what? does market share or global sales revenue care if its a lower end or higher end product? No, that's just business. I find it hilarious how people will twist and bend over backwards to perpetuate the lie that only ipads matter when in fact they neither have the best tablet software nor the global tablet marketshare position.
I guess when you squint with one eye, ignore total global sales numbers from every OEM but Apple, ignore tablet OS marketshare, only account for the US market, only consider high-end tablets (which can't be objectively defined anyway), only factor in iPadOS (only apple is allowed to make tablets for this "OS"), and has to be on a sunny Tuesday on the 3rd week of a full moon during a leap year, and squint some more, and then ah yes I see Apple is somehow a leader in tablets now! 😂

While few people may use tablets for complex video editing, there's no room for compromise when it comes to drawing. Pen performance is of course important, but software improvements are also essential. What's the current situation?
