Just got the Pixel 9 after owning the S4,7 and 10.
I was curious as I spoke to Manny friends that drone on about their Pixel phones.
That and I got it for an extra $5/month and I keep it after 2 yrs.
I am impressed with the camera features, the overall performance. Would I have been happy with the S25? Likely. But I have no regrets with the Pixel 9.

i would take 9a if it would be for 350eur, not from 520eur and up....

So the 9a is basically the same as the 9. The only thing going for the 9 is just the display and better AF in stills and scenic photos. By the by, the 9a is still hated. I can see why.

the 9A (I use it) but I had the 9 and 9Pro too! Better battery life for the 9A,
Lighter weight, true plastic back.

The chipset isn't flagship though is it. It can't even keep up with a Snapdragon 8sGen3 it's a joke.

Well the difference is 120€ and till yesterday it was 130-140€ which is the same as 150$. The Cameras are completely different, like not 1 of 3 is even close, why should anybody read the whole story, when it starts with a false information.

The battery runtime is worse due to the different MODEM
Google has revealed that the Pixel 9a has the Exynos Modem 5300 rather than the newer Exynos Modem 5400 seen in the Pixel 9 series.Previous Pixels with the old modem were criticized for their cellular reception and battery life.

More than such a small comparison, I wish for tough battle of bar flagships then also a battle among top folds (including best of the past like mate x2, 808).
Don't forget special features like software based auto ND filter, hi res raws or AI stacking, and end up with some victor and 2nd and 3rd place, not just vague all are somehow good...
I feel a little of competitive spirit since leave of Lumia, LG and even partly Huawei and others from western market - we need to spice things up...

Literally nothing is better on the 9a compared with 9. OK, it handles the heat better when we look the throttling test in their reviews, but thats about it. The price difference is too little to justify the savings.

Goes to show that a significantly bigger battery didn't really catch up the P9 because of its LTPO screen.
