Microsoft hikes Xbox prices for the third time in a year

Microsoft is hiking Xbox prices yet again. The company already hiked prices once back in May of last year, and then again later in October.

Microsoft hikes Xbox prices for the third time in a year

This time, the company is increasing the prices of the 512GB models by $100 and 1TB models by $150. The 2TB model is being discontinued. The current prices are as follows.

Model New pricing Previous pricing
Xbox Series S (512GB) $499 $399
Xbox Series S (1TB) $599 $449
Xbox Series X Digital (1TB) $749 $599
Xbox Series X (1TB) $799 $649

The company cites increasing memory and storage prices as the reason. What it conveniently forgot to mention is that the storage and memory prices are what they are because of AI datacenter demands, something it is at least partially responsible for due to its aggressive forays in the sector. It's almost as if actions tend to have consequences.

On the plus side, at least it's still cheaper than the Steam Machine. And it even comes with a controller.

Such a weird comment. Anyway, the launch price of the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally X is $999.99, so you don't know what you're talking about. Also, the launch price of it has nothing to do with my comment. You seems confused and hostile for no reason...
