joe nodden, 15 Mar 2026The rotating display was such a useless design. What on Ear... moreHow to tell people you never use the phone without telling people you never use the phone. 🥴🥴

The rotating display was such a useless design. What on Earth were they thinking. "Yeah the mobile branch is going belly up anyways so we might as well blow R&D funds and release something stupid."

It's a shame because the pop up camera would've made the phone desirable without the stupid rotating display. Well, if removing the dumb mechanism meant lowering production costs enough to make the price reasonable, that is. Doubt it though. They loved pricing these low end 765G phones like flagships. Just look at the Velvet. What a disgrace that phone was.

This phone literally does the T-pose.

LG and Asus are my favorite but I grew up with LG, I wish that they will somehow find a way to come back into the phone market one day, I can't believe this phone is already almost 6 years old 😢

LG Wing-5G is the 'last' offering of a flagship phone in late Oct. 2020, then their abrupt exit in the smartphone business April,2021.

To be honest, I rather give \ donate money to the developer that will do this of extending the life of this nostalgic-phone from LG, instead of paying to SamShame scrupulous business practice of 'forced obsolesces' of their own product, in order for customers to pay additional money.

Is it possible to upgrade the OS to Android 15 or latest 16 version? My primary Samsung S22 screen cropped with Green Lines, after Dec.2025 OS update and screen replacement is not practical cost -(big joke). So I want to re-live up my Wing-5G, but the last OS update was of Aug.2023 on Android 13 so am concerned on the security risks and vulnerables.

                      Any Suggestions - anyone?

Owning this phone from 2021, the small screen has ghost touch issue recently, i replaced the small screen along with the battery, now going strong as my second phone, still loving this phone for multitasking

my long time journey with LG has come to end. it was started with gw620 in 2010. it was one of the first android phone on market. over years i used g2, v10, v20. i loved using my LG wing for years but i think its life has come to end this week. thank you LG for the great 15 years. probably it was golden years of mobile communicaton.

The only thing which would make LG phones complete, to me, is a feature like Sony's Power HS, bypassing battery charging when plugged in, and also battery charge limit option. Sony doesn't come close to LG (somewhat close in cameras) in other aspects in my opinion.

Heck, not one people think I bought an expensive phone.

In fact, it was because of my V50 that I totally stopped embracing wireless audio and am now going wired only. You can throw any wireless earbuds to any of LG smartphones with built-in Quad DAC, and not one can come close.

Anonymous, 10 Nov 2024fm radio without 3.5 jack ?? is that possible? thanksAs long as there's the FM Radio chip on the motherboard, it's always possible. But since it doesn't have an audio jack, you need to use an adapter for it. Not one of the most elegant solutions, to be honest, but it's better than not having offline FM Radio support at all.
