Honor Magic9 Pro Max runs Geekbench, reveals its chipset and RAM amount

Vlad, 16 September 2026

The Honor Magic9 Pro Max has seemingly been spotted in the Geekbench online database with the model number WKL-AN20. The Geekbench run reveals that it's powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset (though not which specific variant of it).

The prototype which ran the benchmark had 16GB of RAM and ran Android 17. So the Honor Magic9 Pro Max will launch running Android 17 most likely, but other RAM options may be available too. As for the results, keep in mind that this is a prototype device which may not contain finalized hardware and software, and also that it ran Geekbench 6.7.1 and not the latest Geekbench 7. The results are not cross-comparable between versions.

The Honor Magic9 series is scheduled to become official on September 28. The Pro Max will be the king of the lineup, with an ARRI co-branded camera setup. The phone will sport a 200MP main camera using a 1/1.28" type sensor and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera using a 1/1.4" type sensor. There should also be an ultrawide in there of course.

On the front the trademark Honor 3D face unlocking tech will be used, while rumor has it there will be a square selfie sensor in there too. The Magic9 Pro Max will debut Honor's upcoming MagicOS 11.

Isn't the QTI SM8975 the "Pro" or "Extreme" variant of the new Elite Gen 6 chip? The standard variant is the SM8950.
