I bought pixel 8,using it feeling, it's much better than s21, pixel 7, and many others I used. Battery about 10 %in one hour at YouTube at wifi, not bad. The only concern is about green r pink line issue. After lots of search, chat GPT views, I heard that line issue did not occurer in the pixel 8 panel made by Samsung called shoreline once you check it through playstore apps. Whereas BOE panels had this issue. I request the users to please give their opinions about line issue / panel. Thanks

I'm running GrapheneOS on one. Easily a 2-day battery life.
Overall an alright phone, but not worth the money just yet (Pixels depreciate at an insane rate).
If it had a telephoto camera and was 20g lighter it would've been excellent.

Chris T.: I wonder what your 'moderate use' is like, considering the 6a I have is about two years older, got its battery degraded by software (defect is an issue with 6a's specifically, for which Google offers cashback specifically) and it still *does* last a day for me. Bought it used in 2024. Was considering upgrading to a used 8a for a 256GB option, but not in a particular hurry; these are less than two years old and not in abundance on a secondary market, yet.

Bought new, sealed in January 2026. Battery was down to 94% by just sitting in the box all these years I guess. Camera is great, video not so great and battery does not really last all day even with moderate use. It's a small phone though..

My Pixel 8 got the infamous green screen issue last december. Fortunately it was on it's last months of warranty so I got it repaired for free. Google does not offer the Extended Repair program for Pixel 8 in Latvia, so I got lucky.
Other than that - great phone almost nothing wrong with it. Except the battery - that one is just meh, it's not bad-bad, but most def felt like a downgrade coming from a Xiaomi 10T.

My Pixel 8 came with a Mali-G715 GPU, not the Immortalis one. Donno it was the Google final version for all devices. Does anybody know if there are / were two versions on the market? Kind regards.

                                    This is a great Pixel.

Whilst it probably won't achieve the near cult like status of the pixel 5 mainly due to its size, the 8 is the last reasonably sized pixel you can buy.

For me, and I know alot of others that feel the same, once you get over 70mm in width (okay, this is slightly over) then the phone becomes uncomfortable to use one handed.

Coupled with the long software support, and new old stock examples can still be purchased if you don't fancy a used one, this is a highly recommended phone from me.
