Project Calliope aims to transform the landscape of data collection and in-depth interviewing by leveraging the power of conversational AI and LLMs. As traditional feedback forms become obsolete, I propose a paradigm shift towards more engaging and efficient data collection methods using chat interfaces and microphone-based interviews. My goal is to develop interviewing agents capable of conducting human-like interviews, thereby enhancing data quality and automating the data collection process. Qualitative data collection has long been a cornerstone of market research, social sciences, and user experience studies. However, traditional methods such as paper surveys and structured interviews often fail to capture the nuanced responses that can provide deeper insights.
