The community, while open to anyone who works in Developer Relations or Community Management, has an application process which ensures that only current practitioners are admitted, which keeps the quality of the community high and creates a trusted setting for collaboration and learning. It's currently just short of 3,000 members who regularly share resources, engage in discussion and support each others' growth.

I joined the Community Leadership Team of the Joomla! Project in March 2013, as the CLT liaison to the Joomla! User Group Team. I was involved in setting up and supporting the Marketing Working Group and implementing a review of the marketing activities of the Joomla project. The team built a stable foundation on which the Joomla project now approaches marketing much more strategically.
