Celebrating Operational Excellence at ZF! 🏆🚀   Operational Excellence is essential to ZF’s success – ensuring 100 percent quality, on‑time delivery, competitiveness and continuous improvement. It is also one of the six ZF Excellence Awards categories, our group‑wide recognition for outstanding performance and innovation. This year, more than 120 submissions were entered in the Operational Excellence category. Among many impressive initiatives, one project clearly stood out: 🏆 Winner Operational Excellence 2025: IBC Dark Plant Implementation – ZF Anting, China (IBC = Integrated Brake Control) Why the jury chose this project: - Benchmark performance in intelligent manufacturing - Significant cost and productivity improvements - Lean, green and digital execution - High scalability across ZF - Competitive production even in high‑cost regions  The Anting team developed new standards and realized a fully automated, dark manufacturing environment – a breakthrough for ZF’s future production systems. Congratulations to Jimmy Wang and the whole Anting team for setting a new standard in smart, efficient and future‑ready manufacturing! And a big thank you to Mathias Miedreich and Hassine Sioud, who supported the Operational Excellence category!

Innovation is one of the strongest drivers shaping the future of mobility – and this year’s submissions for the ZF Excellence Awards’ Innovation category showed exactly that. From advanced software to AI‑driven solutions and next‑generation hardware, the breadth of ideas demonstrated the huge potential within ZF. The ZF Excellence Awards are an internal, group-wide recognition and a testament to our commitment to excellence, innovation and continuous improvement.  We are proud to announce the winner of the Innovation category: “Cost Down E‑Machine Magnet using Software” The team successfully transitioned a sophisticated software algorithm into series production by mid‑2025. Their solution reduces magnet stress during E‑motor operation under all possible conditions. Combined with the systemic optimization of the E-drive, this significantly reduces – or even eliminates – the need for heavy rare earth elements – one of the biggest cost drivers in E-motors. The developers started with a simple question: How can we make electric motors more cost‑effective without compromising performance? Their curiosity led into a breakthrough - developed in just days and prototyped within weeks. Congratulations to Sebastian Wendel, Florian Ullrich, Stephan Tenner, David Schuller, Patrick Herre, Miriam Hub, Johannes Mailänder, Thomas Wolf and the whole team! Celebrating the ZF Way Category at the ZF Excellence Awards! 🏆   The ZF Way defines how we work – with Passion, Anticipation, Diversity, Empowerment and Accountability. It is also one of the six ZF Excellence Awards categories, honoring projects that truly bring these principles to life. This year, more than 50 submissions from across the globe showcased strong cultural impact and collaboration.   🌟 ZF Way Category Winner: Brake Failure Simulator – Santa Rosa, Mexico   The team developed an immersive safety‑training experience that builds a strong Safety‑First and Zero‑Defect mindset from day one. What makes this category special: the winner is selected by all ZF employees – making Santa Rosa the true “winner of the heart.”   Why the project stands out: - Experience‑based safety awareness - Strong cultural and behavioral impact - Developed jointly with local students - A clear embodiment of the ZF Way principles   Congratulations to Lourdes Pliego and the Santa Rosa team for being the “winners of the heart” and shaping the ZF Way in an inspiring and impactful way! Processes & Digitalization is one of six categories for ZF’s Excellence Awards – an internal, group-wide recognition and a testament to our commitment to excellence, innovation and continuous improvement. This year’s winner shows the true power of digital transformation. 🏆 Congratulations to the Digital Manufacturing Platform (DMP) team! DMP connects thousands of machines and multiple locations worldwide, creating a scalable backbone for ZF’s digital manufacturing strategy. It enables: - A unified digital landscape across plants - Empowered teams and improved factory performance - Significant cost savings - Faster, smarter, more resilient processes This project demonstrates how digitalization delivers measurable business value across ZF’s global network. Celebrating Excellence in Sustainability! Sustainability is a fundamental part of ZF’s Group strategy – and it goes far beyond climate action. The ZF approach covers climate, nature, people and lasting values, shaping how we innovate and operate across the entire company.   That’s why “Sustainability” is one of the six ZF Excellence Award categories, our internal, group‑wide recognition that honors excellence, innovation and continuous improvement. This year, although we received many great applications, one team impressed us in a remarkable way: The TempAI team – winner of the Sustainability category! 🌱🏆   Their mission: Make electric motors smarter, greener and more efficient. Their solution: Replace traditional thermal modeling with an AI‑driven approach.
