  • Not every connection starts perfectly. Sometimes someone can’t make it. Sometimes the original match falls through. And sometimes the real magic comes from the rematch. Suddenly, two people who might never have met find alignment in their work, their values, and their hopes for the communities they serve. That is why we keep building this. Because connection is not always neat. Community rarely is. But when people are given another chance to meet, listen, and share what they are building, something meaningful can still happen. Thank you, Musa Konneh, for sharing this with us and always being that solid member who shows up and is open to all new connections. #CommunityBuilding #NonprofitNetworking #PeerLearning #HiveChats

  • Great work deserves to be understood — and acted on. We’re proud to spotlight Nonprofit Hive Ambassador Diamond J.. Diamond is the Founder of The Nonprofit Analyst, a consultancy helping organizations clarify their message, strengthen engagement, and expand their impact. With a background in data analytics and over a decade of nonprofit experience, her work sits at the intersection of storytelling and strategy. She helps organizations move beyond “doing the work” to communicating it in a way that drives connection, trust, and measurable results. Because clarity isn’t just nice to have. It’s essential. We’re grateful to have Diamond as an Ambassador and a long time member in the Hive 💛 https://lnkd.in/ex4g2t6y

  • Some of the best nonprofit insights don’t come from people with the biggest platforms. They come from the person who has been quietly figuring out how to keep a fundraising team steady. - The comms lead who has learned how to tell better stories with almost no budget. - The program director who understands what community trust actually looks like. - The executive director making hard decisions with care. - The volunteer manager who sees patterns most people miss. - The nonprofit sector is full of brilliant in-house voices — and we want to hear from more of you. At The Nonprofit Hive, we’re opening up space for articles, reflections, practical ideas, and lived experience from people working inside nonprofits and social impact organizations. You don’t need to have a “perfect” article ready. A strong idea is enough. A lesson you keep coming back to. A challenge you think the sector needs to talk about more honestly. A practical tip that could help someone else feel less alone. A story about what you’re learning in real time. We’d especially love to hear from in-house nonprofit professionals whose perspectives don’t always get amplified as often as they should. Have an article idea for The Nonprofit Hive? Send it our way. We’d love to help bring more of these voices into the conversation. Because the people doing the work have so much to teach the rest of us. https://lnkd.in/eSnGZqKe

  • The longer you work in the nonprofit sector, the more you realize there are certain things only other nonprofit people understand. The excitement over unrestricted funding. The ability to turn a casual conversation into a discussion about impact measurement. The strange mix of optimism, spreadsheets, donor stewardship, community events, and occasional existential questions about a Form 990. And while we can laugh about it, there's something deeper underneath. Nonprofit work can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also be isolating. Many of us are carrying big responsibilities on small teams, navigating challenges that friends and family outside the sector don't always understand. That's why spaces to connect with peers matter. Not because everyone has the answers. But because sometimes the most valuable thing is a conversation with someone who simply gets it. Someone who understands why you're worried about donor retention, excited about a new grant opportunity, or trying to balance mission, people, and sustainability all at the same time. The nonprofit nerds of the world need each other. ❤️ Join your community of nonprofiteers - https://lnkd.in/eFcHgY8G #NonprofitLife #NonprofitLeadership #Fundraising #CommunityBuilding #TheNonprofitHive

  • "You can still build something sustainable, profitable, and impactful while staying true to your values."

Yesterday I had my 6th Hive Chat through The Nonprofit Hive and once again it reminded me why these conversations matter. Any opportunity I get to share my story and the work we’re doing in Guatemala, through CONSERVAR & PINA&KAKAW, is an opportunity I’ll never pass up. It was great connecting with Rachel Zant and hearing her perspective on the nonprofit sector, storytelling, and the importance of authentic communication in creating impact. Conversations like these are valuable because they bring fresh ideas, different experiences, and new ways of thinking about how we create change. One thing I continue to believe strongly: Guatemala doesn’t need more of the same. It needs innovation, sustainability, accountability, and new perspectives. It deserves organizations and leaders willing to do things the right way even when it’s harder. Treating people with dignity matters. Creating impact matters. And while profit is important, it should never come at the expense of doing the right thing. The good news? You can still build something sustainable, profitable, and impactful while staying true to your values. Thank you, Rachel Zant, for the great conversation and for the work you’re doing in the nonprofit space. #NonprofitHive #Sustainability #Leadership #SocialImpact #Innovation #Guatemala #Nonprofit #PurposeDriven #CommunityImpact

New headshot, who dis? The end of May is always a little reminder for me of the leap I took in my career/life (and that it’s probably time for a new headshot too 🥹). I went from advertising to nonprofit development, and now I get to merge all of that with sustainability, climate, and city-building conversations. I definitely wouldn’t have gotten here without my ~village~ and the communities I’ve found along the way. The Nonprofit Hive is one of those communities and they recently did a little article/video about my journey: https://lnkd.in/gBU9emwW After years of working in marketing and communications, I’ve usually been the one interviewing people and writing their stories. This is the first time someone’s written a piece about me, and honestly it’s such a strange (but nice) feeling to be on the other side of the kind of stories I usually tell. 🥰 Thank you Nicole and Tasha for the conversation and feature. 💜

  • AI is moving quickly in the nonprofit sector. But “moving quickly” and “moving responsibly” are not the same thing. That’s why we’re proud to be a partner organization for the AI Equity Project 2026, created by long-time Hive-friend Meenakshi (Meena) Das, alongside co-sponsors like Fluxx and DonorPerfect. As part of the project, Namaste Data has created an AI Equity Workbook for Nonprofits, a practical discussion guide for nonprofit leadership, boards, and key staff navigating AI with more responsibility, fairness, and community trust. Because the real question isn’t just: “How can we use AI?” It’s also: Who benefits? Who is harmed? Whose data is being used? Who gets left out of the conversation? And how do we make sure AI strengthens trust instead of quietly eroding it? This workbook is a meaningful place to start those conversations inside your organization. The AI Equity Project 2026 survey is live for 2 more days, and nonprofit voices are needed. Share your thoughts! https://lnkd.in/ei7iMti9 #AIEquity #Nonprofits #ResponsibleAI #NonprofitTechnology #DataEquity

  • Good fundraising copy informs. Great fundraising copy makes people feel something. That’s the work of Madeleine Nance. • Fundraising can feel heavy when you’re carrying big goals, limited capacity, and a long list of relationships to steward well. That’s why we’re so glad to spotlight Mike Esposito Fundraising as a Hive Sponsor this week. Mike Esposito, CFRE Esposito partners with nonprofits to strengthen fundraising strategy, grow donor revenue, and build more sustainable fundraising systems — with support that can include: - Fundraising coaching - Fundraising assessments and planning - Campaign feasibility studies and counsel What we love about this work is that it meets organizations where they are. Not every nonprofit needs a massive campaign plan tomorrow. Sometimes you need a clearer path. Sometimes you need someone to help you make sense of what’s working, what’s not, and where to focus next. Sometimes you need fundraising support that is strategic, practical, and grounded in real relationships. That’s the kind of support Mike brings to the sector, and we’re grateful to have him supporting The Nonprofit Hive community this week Learn more about Mike’s fundraising coaching and strategy support here: https://lnkd.in/e9PHg9PM #Fundraising #FundraisingStrategy #NonprofitLeadership #TheNonprofitHive
