At NZ Post, we’re proud to support growers around Aotearoa by getting fresh cherries to New Zealanders over the festive season. It’s a truly collaborative effort. Before the season even kicks off, our teams sit down with every grower to understand their unique needs so we can tailor our perishable service to suit. And this past cherry season, that preparation paid off. We moved 121 tonnes of cherries across the country, more than 25 percent up on the previous year. That’s a massive amount of fresh, time‑sensitive product delivered quickly and carefully so it arrived in top condition for customers. Peak 2025 was our busiest time of the year, and customers still took the time to share some lovely feedback. What mattered most to customers was simple stuff done well. Fast arrivals when it counted. Clear tracking right to the doorstep. Delivery Partners who place parcels safely out of sight. Rural deliveries that landed earlier than expected. Gifts that made it under the tree in time. During Peak 2025, our on‑time delivery performance improved +3.8% year on year. In practical terms, that meant 689k MORE parcels delivered on-time during the busiest time of the year. More parcels arrived when expected, ETAs were more accurate and there were fewer exceptions for customers across Aotearoa. Peak is a huge team effort. On 3 December 2025, we delivered 495,000 parcels across Aotearoa. It was our busiest delivery day ever - bigger than any of the heavy delivery days we handled during Covid. Black Friday demand flowed into early December, and thanks to careful planning, clear promises and a lot of hard mahi, our network kept things moving when it mattered most. A huge thank you to our people on the ground, our Delivery Partners and of course our customers. Peak season is in full swing, and we’re pulling out all the stops behind the scenes to keep your business moving. Cyber Monday was our biggest acceptance day of the year, with 575,000 parcels accepted. That brings us to 36 million parcels accepted through the network this quarter alone. And just a few days later, Wednesday 3 Dec became our biggest delivery day EVER – with around 500,000 parcels delivered in one single day.
