  • In what jurisdiction? Commented Jul 11, 2017 at 21:24
  • @NateEldredge I have answered from a U.S. perspective because the question seems to assume U.S. anti-discrimination laws and the person posing the question probably lacks the reputation to make clarifying comments. Given the acceptance of this answer, this seems to have been a safe assumption. But, it certainly could be more clear and could make sense in other juridictions. Commented Jul 11, 2017 at 21:45

Is an Atheist capable of all aspects of the job? I understand even lay Catholics are not qualified i.e. to transubstantiate the Eucharist. Commented Jul 11, 2017 at 23:58
  • Nobody working for a church makes any money. Churches just like 80% of NPO and NGOs are perpetually broke. Commented Jun 7, 2022 at 14:13

@NeilMeyer Nobody working for a church makes any money? You were joking, right? Churches are some of the most profitable businesses in our world. It's a multi-billion dollar industry. Some pastors even brag about their mansions and private jets to their congregations. Plus, the fact that churches don't pay any taxes in many jurisdictions makes for extravagant profit margins. It's an industry known for abuse in many forms. Commented Nov 3, 2024 at 13:47
