With a focus on enhancing each employee’s health literacy and strengthening the ability to proactively manage one’s own condition, we offered a range of hands-on content that helped employees visualize their current physical status and view health as a personal, relevant topic. In our post-event survey, 100% of participants said they gained valuable takeaways and insights. 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 ・𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗢𝘄𝗻 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵: In the first photo, our CSDO is trying an in-body AGEs measurement. AGEs (advanced glycation end products) have recently drawn attention as a key factor associated with aging. The measurement took only a few minutes by simply placing a finger on the device. : Some participants felt reassured by their measured “vascular age,” while others were genuinely surprised—either way, it made it easy to understand where their body stands today. ・𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: At the menstrual pain simulation corner, we heard comments such as “It drains your energy” and “The discomfort was more than I expected, but my understanding deepened,” helping broaden perspectives on diverse health challenges. ・𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲𝘀: The day also included distribution of hormone testing kits, exhibits on preventive dental care, traditional medicine, and sleep, as well as a special nutritionally balanced menu offered in collaboration with our employee cafeteria. We will continue to promote health initiatives that enable employees to autonomously strive to deliver their own personal best performance. #EmployeeWellbeing #HealthLiteracy #HumanCapital #SumitomoCorporation

As a designated market maker, we continuously provided bid and ask quotes throughout the MM period, contributing to improved market liquidity and fair price formation, and earning this recognition for three consecutive years. With GX‑ETS, Japan’s national emissions trading system, set to enter its mandatory phase from April 2026, we aim to demonstrate leadership by building on our early participation in market formation. Leveraging the customer relationships developed through our role as a market maker in the TSE carbon credit market, we seek to become a leading handler of GX‑ETS‑related transactions. 🔹 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗺? The Market Maker (MM) Mechanism enables designated market makers to continuously provide buy and sell quotes, helping facilitate transactions and support stable and transparent market activity. 🔹 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲 To support Japan’s goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, GX‑ETS will require covered companies to hold allowances or credits corresponding to their CO₂ emissions. Against this backdrop, the TSE launched its carbon credit market in October 2023, enabling transparent trading of J-Credits, Japan’s government-certified domestic carbon credits generated through verified emissions reductions or removals. Today, nearly 30% of Japan’s annual J-Credit issuance is traded via the TSE, with cumulative trading volume having surpassed 1 million tonnes, underscoring the market’s growing importance.
