Our client, a large enterprise organization, is seeking a Workday Adaptive Developer to join their team as a key technical contributor responsible for delivering innovative, complex solutions that drive measurable business impact.
This role will lead system integration efforts for major initiatives and work closely with business product owners to understand strategic objectives, provide technical expertise, and deliver scalable, high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on configuration and development experience within Workday Adaptive, along with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, Agile enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, configure, and integrate customized solutions using Workday Adaptive and related tools
Lead and contribute to the development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of complex enterprise solutions
Perform robust unit testing and support integration and release testing activities
Lead system integration efforts across major projects and cross-functional initiatives
Partner directly with business product owners to refine requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Build and maintain security controls and monitoring capabilities aligned with enterprise standards
Develop non-functional monitoring and provide escalated production support for complex applications
Solve complex technical and operational problems and serve as a resource for junior team members
May oversee the work of a small team on moderately complex initiatives
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement and user story development
Deliver high-quality, working software aligned to acceptance criteria defined by the Product Owner
Leverage continuous engineering practices to automate reusable processes and improve delivery efficiency
Provide knowledge transfer and warranty support to production support teams
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and 6–10 years of experience in software engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
5–8 years of experience supporting Workday Adaptive within a large enterprise environment
Hands-on configuration and implementation expertise within Workday Adaptive
Strong product knowledge and/or relevant Workday certifications
Experience integrating skills-based solutions with Workday or Workday Adaptive
In-depth knowledge of information systems and ability to implement engineering best practices
Understanding of business processes and enterprise IT strategies
Proven ability to manage projects and solve complex technical challenges
Ability to mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership
Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret and convey complex or sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in highly regulated industries, such as banking or financial services
Experience supporting Human Resources business functions
Experience working within Agile development environments
