Totally agree. The tech is the easy part. The hard part is changing how people and organisations work. The real gap is: - Mindset: from fear of replacement to curiosity and experimentation. - Skills: systematic upskilling so AI is in everyone’s daily workflow, not just in a lab. - Process: redesigning briefing, review and decision flows so AI is embedded. Not bolted on. AI can amplify us only if we rewire how we think, learn and work together. Otherwise, it is just another shiny tool parked on the side.

Lavazza CEO Targets US, China Growth to Keep Up With Big Coffee The Lavazza Group chief executive officer, Antonio Baravalle, was told by the family to make sure the company would not be acquired by competitors. Today, over 75% of Lavazza's turnover is generated outside of Italy. Lavazza targeting €5 billion in annual revenue within the next few years, after a 16% jump to €3.9 billion in 2025. In North America, the target set in 2024 to double revenue to $1 billion by 2029 is on track, with a focus on e-commerce and retail.

What does it mean to do marketing in 2025? At H-FARM College, students tackled this question in the curricular course Principles of Marketing, led by Andrea Di Mario, Head of Digital Marketing at Arsenalia. From audience segmentation to omnichannel strategy design, the course combined theory and practice, with case studies on brands like Toyota, GoPro, and Nestlé. Students explored how digital innovation — including AI, advanced analytics, and new KPIs — is transforming the way marketing creates value and builds relationships. Learning to navigate this shift means mastering both timeless fundamentals and the tools that define today’s digital ecosystem.

The “messy middle” isn’t a mess — it’s where new commerce lives. Thank you Prof. Sebastiano Grandi at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore for reminding us that linear marketing is now an illusion. Three shifts (maybe more… 🤔) he mapped brilliantly: 1) Flat Funnel — The consumer journey isn’t a funnel anymore. It’s non-linear, regenerated every time, impossible to optimize like it’s 2015. 2) From SEARCH to ASK: We’re evolving from visibility (links, lists) to relevance (AI answers, dialogue, intent). 3) AI in Nutrition: When the algorithm decides what nutrition looks like, will fruit still have a voice? Over the past few years, we have increasingly observed how the intersection between Italy’s Golden Power framework and distressed‑company scenarios has evolved into one of the most complex and strategically sensitive areas for investors, creditors, and corporate stakeholders. Today, I am pleased to share our Focus Team Restucturing&Insolvency latest newsletter, which offers a detailed analysis of this topic based on the practical experience we have gained across several recent transactions. As professionals active in restructuring and special situations, we are accustomed to navigating tight timelines, competing priorities, and multifaceted risk profiles. Yet when an operation falls within the scope of the Italian Golden Power regime, complexity rises significantly. The application of Golden Power within restructuring processes often triggers challenges that require careful anticipation. In distressed M&A transactions involving strategic assets, the procedural calendar rarely aligns with the timelines of a Golden Power filing. Restructuring processes depend on speed: preserving business continuity, stabilising operations, and maximising value for creditors often hinges on rapid execution. Conversely, a Golden Power assessment may require detailed scrutiny, particularly when foreign investors — especially non‑EU sponsors — are involved, or when the target company manages critical infrastructure or technology. From our recent experience, timing mismatches are one of the most frequent pain points. Complex filings may lead to delays or extensions of the underlying procedure, with operational and financial implications for all stakeholders. At the same time, when the target is a strategic business in distress, the Presidency tends to adopt a more granular approach, frequently imposing conditions aimed at safeguarding national interests — from commitments on Italian headquarters and employment levels to the continuity of specific production lines. Enhanced post‑closing monitoring is also becoming increasingly common. For these reasons, a proactive Golden Power assessment is no longer optional in restructuring transactions: it is essential. Anticipating potential issues, integrating regulatory considerations into the negotiation strategy, and aligning procedural milestones with Golden Power timelines are all critical steps to minimise execution risk. The Italian Trade Agency Singapore (ITA) welcomes a strong Italian presence with over 100 Italian brands participating – marking the largest Italian and European representation at FHA 2026 in Singapore Expo Hall 5, Booth 5J1-07. A key highlight of this year’s showcase is the Italian Taste Lab, an immersive culinary platform where ingredients from authentic Italian brands are brought to life through live cooking demonstrations by renowned Italian chefs in Singapore. This year’s Italian Taste Lab will be kicked off with a live cooking demonstration led by Italian cuisine luminary and culinary educator Chef David Marchiori. In 2025, Italy ranked 3rd among European countries exporting to Singapore in the wider food and beverage sector, with a total export value of €132 million (Source: Trade Data Monitor). Within the food sector alone, Italy recorded an export value of €96.8 million to Singapore, marking a 1.0% increase from 2024.
