“I know Armando Sanchez since he was responsible for the launch of Nestlé HealthCare Nutrition in Spain, at that time I was her competitor as I worked at Novartis Medical Nutrition, then the market leader in Spain in Clinical Nutrition. From a clear position of inferiority of his company, he was able to invent and implement a new strategy that changed the market and made them grow enormously. He organised and led a team fully motivated looking forward to achieving great results. This achievement was all the more meritorious and remarkable because the difference in resources between the pharmaceutical companies (their competition) and them was enormous, and because it was a different market from the one in which Nestle normally operated. Then, after the merger between Novartis Medical Nutrition and Nestlé HealthCare, we met again and worked together as he was Global Group Marketing Manager in the Head Quarters in Switzerland and I was the Spanish Marketing Director. He, again, totally reinvented the business under his responsibility, involving all the key actors: markets, Key Opinion Leaders, Marketing and sales people, regulatory and legal departments, factories (internal and external) with an extremely innovative and safe solution that put in clear advantage our company. He is a great leader of people, a great motivator, a creator of teams and he has demonstrated that he can solve difficult business issues with a clear strategy and the capacity of implementing it. Armando is an excellent professional and an extraordinary human being.”
