We recently had the honour of welcoming the Deputy Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, H.E. Nguyen Chi Dung, who was received by #Leonardo Chairman Stefano Pontecorvo and Leonardo Co-General Manager Carlo Gualdaroni. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to further strengthen the partnership between Leonardo and Vietnam, underscoring the Group’s long-term commitment to the country. In line with Vietnam’s strong focus on advancing science, technology and high-tech industries, discussions centered on enhancing cooperation in technological innovation and digital transformation. This engagement builds on Leonardo’s enhanced presence in the region, including the opening of a dedicated office in Hanoi in January 2025. The opening of this new location marked another step in strengthening Leonardo's presence in Asia, aimed at intensifying collaboration with local partners and stakeholders, fostering the development of innovative technological opportunities, and delivering tangible and impactful support for the country's growth strategy.

Shape the future of autonomous navigation with #Leonardo’s Drone Contest X! The challenge, now part of #SolversWanted - the Group’s innovation platform -, is open to universities, startups, spin-offs, research centres and innovative companies ready to push the boundaries of next generation autonomous drones without satellite navigation. Drone Contest X focuses on solutions with an intermediate level of technological maturity, where participants demonstrate how #UAVs can operate autonomously without #GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems), leveraging technologies such as #artificialintelligence, visual navigation and #sensor fusion. The acquisition of Iveco Group’s Defence business (IDV and ASTRA) marks a significant milestone in #Leonardo’s growth path as a leading player in the European land defence sector. Leonardo moves from providing integrated technologies to being able to offer complete platforms, combining vehicle components and electronic systems into a single solution within advanced, interconnected digital architectures. The consolidation of land defence activities is part of a broader strategy aimed at integrating capabilities and platforms into a multi-domain offering. On the occasion of the United Nations’s #WorldWaterDay, we renew our commitment to responsible water management across all our industrial operations, to reduce our impact on ecosystems and strengthen our business resilience, in line with the strategic objectives set out in the Group’s Industrial Plan. Water is a vital resource for communities, ecosystems, and industries. For this reason, #Leonardo invests in technologies, processes, and management practices, which have enabled us to successfully reduce water withdrawals by 22% compared with 2019, despite business growth. Projects have been prioritised at operational sites in water-stressed regions. For example, in the Puglia region, this includes Foggia, where initiatives to capture and reuse rainwater are expected to capture 15 million litres (about 6 Olympic-size swimming pools) per year. The activity will complement existing systems in Grottaglie, where 74 million litres (about 30 Olympic-size swimming pools) of water have already been recovered over the past year, and in Brindisi, where 100% of rainwater is collected and reused, here, rain is not a seasonal resource, but an integral part of our operating model. The main active initiatives include also the third phase of the Smart Water project, an initiative carried out by Leonardo Global Solutions, which targets the reuse of water resources, contributing to a reduction in water withdrawal of approximately 300 million litres (about 120 Olympic-size swimming pools) per year. Thanks to these initiatives, the Group is able to reduce reliance on freshwater sources while contributing to a more circular and sustainable approach to water management. Through continuous monitoring and innovation, we are committed to minimising our environmental footprint and supporting the long-term protection of water resources for future generations.
