First Meeting of CII Western Region CHRO Forum CII Western Region hosted the inaugural meeting of the CII WR CHRO Forum at the Larsen & Toubro Office, Powai, bringing together nearly 30 CHROs and senior HR leaders from across the Western Region. Under the leadership of Forum Chairman Dr. C. Jayakumar, Executive Vice President & Head – Corporate Human Resources, Larsen & Toubro, and Co-Chairman Mr. Avijit Bhattacharya, CHRO, TATA Capital, the Forum came together as a closed, trust-based platform for candid peer learning and collaborative problem-solving. The room surfaced a clear and consistent agenda — AI in HR, leadership pipeline development, talent retention, and performance management emerged as the defining priorities for HR leadership in the region over the coming year. Conversations pointed to a profession in transition, with CHROs increasingly expected to lead on skills-based workforce transformation, navigate automation thoughtfully, and step into a more strategic business partnering role. The meeting also featured presentations from the L&T team on their Leadership Development Programs and L&T EduTech best practices, followed by an exclusive tour of L&T Planet.
