As soon as you book UBER and OLA’ ….A call comes enquiring about your Destination, Mode of payment, How many bags, You want AC ON and many more.. These questions are haunting many of us now a days and once you answer each of them a deep silence follows, and you are now on mercy of cab driver if he liked your answers or not 😊 . If he liked your responses, he would tell you in non affirmative voice that cab is on way, else you don’t have any choice but to wait and only wait, As this driver would expect you to cancel the ride, instead of him reassigning or canceling it , because when customer cancels; there is cash penalty these cab aggregator charges and part of it goes to this driver as well. I have nearly missed few flights because Uber driver didn’t feel picking client to airport early morning and neither bothered to cancel and I had to keep juggling between 1 booking to another and 1 aggregator to another, not to mention the countless minutes you have to wait after landing at airport terminals and waiting for your ride to show up or not. Few weeks back on hot scorching summer on way to hotel from Bangalore airport, when requested my Uber to switch AC ON, His ludicrous response was “GOVT NE BAN KIYA HAI SIR AC KO” If it gives you some solace, On Tuesday, 10th May 2022 , Consumer Affair Ministry warned of strict action against online cab aggregators if they fail to address rising complaints and put an end to unfair trade practices. AI is acting like an editor, formatter or writing assistant. So basically, If perspective and direction come from human and AI simply helps organize or polish it, that’s still human-driven content AI becomes a problem when it replaces original thinking instead of enhancing it because saying content touched by AI is fully AI-generated is like saying Coke was created by refrigeration. Refrigeration helped scale and preserve it, but product itself still came from humans thought and practical experiments And honestly, this distinction is probably where internet is heading: human thinking + AI acceleration = acceptable But AI thinking + human posting = what people are getting tired of #OriginalThinking #DigitalAuthenticity #AIEthics

This was about a decade ago at one of my previous companies. On paper, this candidate's profile wasn’t extraordinary. Last drawn salary: 9 LPA. So I asked him one question: “You seem capable. What do you think stopped you from making it really big?” He paused for a second and said: “I made some wrong career choices. A few companies shut down. I got laid off in some places. Sometimes I stayed too long where I shouldn’t have." That was it. He didn't blame anyone or try to sound smart. He was just... honest. And strangely, that honesty told me more about his potential than any perfect resume could. Because after years of hiring, I’ve realised that: Skills can be taught. Products can be taught. Sales can be taught. But self-awareness and honesty is rare. I hired him almost immediately. In fact, I jokingly told him: “If you leave, I’m going to come after you.” So far, that leap of faith has worked out really well. Have you ever hired someone completely unconventional?

Four farewell events, hundreds of heartfelt messages, a thoughtfully created (AI generated) video, a beautiful photo album capturing a decade of memories, the taste of Mysore Pak from Guru Sweets, and many gifts that I will always cherish—each gesture meant more than words can express. And then, a full day spent together at a resort with 15 colleagues who travelled from across the country—on their own time and expense, giving up a long weekend—just to be there. That kind of thoughtfulness stays with you for life. I honestly don’t know how to thank everyone individually, or how to repay the kindness and affection I’ve received. Some things are simply beyond words. Looking back, my journey here has been deeply intertwined with LTM’s own growth—from a $800M organisation to a $4.8B one today. It’s been a privilege to witness, contribute, and grow alongside it. On a personal note, when I joined, my younger one was in Grade 6—and today, he’s finishing his MBA. Time, indeed, has flown, leaving behind a treasure trove of memories. These years will always remain close to my heart—filled with learning, friendships, and shared milestones. Wishing the entire LTM family—management, leaders, peers, and every team member—continued success and even greater heights ahead. Grateful. Nostalgic. And forever connected. Sharing a few moments that capture it all…
