I have researched lots of product-based companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Netflix, Zomato, Goldman Sachs, Paytm, J.P. ↬ Trapit Bansal, the IIT alum who got an 800 Crore signing bonus from Meta after being recruited into their superintelligence team... → He was once also a beginner who was curious about how websites actually work, tinkering with simple HTML pages long before “AI” was a buzzword. ↬ Sundar Pichai, who now leads Google and Alphabet... → He was once a student at IIT Kharagpur, struggling to figure out the difference between Java and JavaScript, just hoping to make something work. ↬ Gaurav Munjal, co-founder of Unacademy, who scaled his startup to a multi-billion dollar edtech giant... → He was once uploading coding tutorials on YouTube from his college dorm, unsure if anyone would even watch. ↬ Tanmay Bakshi, the machine learning prodigy at IBM... → He was once just a kid fascinated by solving Sudoku puzzles, before he ever wrote a line of code. The real problem I see today is impatience. If you’re aiming for a life-changing package, it’s going to take a life-changing amount of effort too, no matter what anyone tells you. Every example above started off as a clueless beginner, and they were patient enough to be bad, make mistakes, and keep showing up. They weren’t obsessed with overnight results, they obsessed over getting better, even if it was just 1% at a time. No matter how badly you want success, some things take the time they need and it’s important you give yourself that time. Remember: Everyone you look up to was a beginner once. And the only thing they did differently was stick with it when it was hard. Be patient. Keep building. Your story is still being written.

💸 "Your transaction of ₹200 is successful." We've all seen this message. But have you ever wondered what really happens behind the scenes? That one line hides a world of engineering complexity: 0. API calls to payment gateways like Razorpay, etc 1. Webhooks that confirm the actual status of the payment 2. Callback URLs to redirect the user safely 3. Correctly updating transactions in DB 4. Imagine sending a message to someone halfway across the world. What invisible forces ensure it arrives? The answer lies within WhatsApp's intricate design →  The Client Side: Your Gateway to Global Chat • Millions of users access WhatsApp daily. They use various clients: mobile apps and web apps. • Each client has its own local SQLite database. This stores your chats locally, for quick access. → The Messaging Backbone: XMPP and Beyond • WhatsApp doesn't just use HTTP WebSockets. This handles media (images, videos). • The core messaging system relies on XMPP (Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol).  This handles the actual text and other messages. → The WhatsApp Server: A Distributed Masterpiece • WhatsApp employs a custom Ejabberd server. This runs on BEAM (Erlang’s virtual machine) and FreeBSD. • This server uses a powerful Mnesia database. It queues messages for efficient delivery. • Messages are only delivered once the recipient connects. This ensures that messages are received. • Once delivered and confirmed, messages are deleted from the database. This is smart data management. →  Scalability and Resilience: The Secret Sauce • WhatsApp's architecture is designed for incredible scalability.  It handles massive user loads. • The system is highly resilient. Most colleges are still “waiting” on AI agents. Sreenidhi’s SDC SNIST community chose to lead. Honoured to be invited as a guest to run a hands-on workshop on n8n Automations at Sreenidhi College. This is the first college I’ve seen step up and initiate a dedicated agents + automations workshop for students—and the response was incredible. Students were deeply engaged, asked sharp questions, and jumped straight into building. “Understood the basics of n8n and automations quickly—and built a few workflows during the workshop.” What we focused on: - How agentic workflows map cleanly in n8n (from trigger to deployment) - Turning repetitive tasks into hands-free automations - Clean, minimal stacks students can maintain without big budgets I’m grateful to the SDC community for the initiative and to every student who showed up to learn, experiment, and ship. Distributed network of servers placed strategically around the globe 2. Stores cached copies of your content (images, videos, static files) closer to users 3. Routes user requests to the nearest server instead of your origin server How CDNs Work 1. User requests content from application 2. CDN intercepts the request and checks its nearest edge server 3. If content exists in cache, it's served immediately 4. If not cached, CDN fetches from origin server and caches for future requests 5. Subsequent users in that region get lightning-fast responses Key Benefits: 1. Reduced Latency 2. Improved Performance 3. Better Scalability 4.
