Japan Is Seriously Looking at India — Insights from India Connect Recently in Japan, an event called “India Connect” was held, hosted by Sumitomo Realty & Development. The purpose of the event was clear: to share an overview of the Indian market, discuss expansion opportunities, and connect stakeholders interested in India. The slide attached here is one of the materials used during the session. ⸻ Key Takeaways from the Presentation The message from the data was very strong and consistent. • Japan has been paying close attention to India for many years • India ranks No.1 as a promising business expansion destination for Japanese companies: • 3 consecutive years for short- to mid-term outlook • 15 consecutive years for long-term outlook (10+ years) • Industries with strong interest include: • Automotive • Chemicals • Electronics • Infrastructure-related sectors • Many companies are already moving from interest to concrete action • At the same time, challenges were also clearly recognized: • Unclear application of laws and regulations • Intense competition with other global players • Rising costs and increasing market complexity One speaker made a particularly striking comment: “Unless there is an extremely major reason, it is almost impossible to exclude India from TAM discussions today.” ⸻ Why Japan Is Looking Outward — and Why India Matters Japan is facing a declining population and shrinking domestic demand. Because of this structural reality, Japanese companies have little choice but to look outward for growth. Among all global options, India stands out — not just for its population size, but for its long-term potential as the global growth engine. This isn’t short-term optimism. It’s a strategic conviction. ⸻ A New Opportunity: Working with Incoming Japanese Companies As more Japanese companies enter the Indian market, a new type of demand naturally grows: • People who understand Japanese business culture • Professionals who can communicate in business-level Japanese • Bridges between Japanese companies and the Indian market This means that business-oriented Japanese language learning will become increasingly valuable — not as a hobby, but as a career skill. Preparing now to work with Japanese companies could open doors to entirely new roles and industries. ⸻ Japanese Text Transcription from the Slide

How do you feel today? 🇯🇵 Language is more than just words — it’s emotion, culture, and connection. In Japanese, emotions are expressed with unique depth — each word reflects the tone, manner, and subtlety of human interaction. For example: Ureshii (嬉しい) – Happy, but with warmth and gratitude. Kanashii (悲しい) – Sad, but often with quiet acceptance. Nemui (眠い) – Sleepy, a simple yet universal feeling. By learning how to express emotions in Japanese, you’re not just memorizing vocabulary — you’re understanding how people in Japan communicate feelings, respect, and empathy. At Zuiichi Global, we aim to make language learning a bridge between cultures — helping learners experience Japan not just linguistically, but emotionally and socially too. Are you ready to connect beyond words? Join our Japanese language learning programs today and start your journey into authentic communication. #LearnJapanese #ZuiichiGlobal #JapaneseLanguage #CulturalLearning #StudyJapanese #JapanEducation
