Always a delight to meet Shri Kapil Mishra uncle, Minister of Law & Justice, Labour & Employment, Tourism, Art & Culture, Government of Delhi. Also met Dr. Pankaj kumar Singh ji, Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Transport, Information Technology, Government of Delhi, at Delhi Secretariat recently. For us at Workafy, both Labour & Employment and Technology are close to heart - they directly impact how startups like ours build solutions, create opportunities, and strengthen Delhi’s ecosystem. Yet, despite world-class talent, the startup infrastructure in Delhi still has a long way to go. That leaves me curious: Which area of governance do you think needs the biggest digital push in Delhi?

Had the opportunity to meet Dr Brij Mohan Mishra uncle, IAS, at his office recently. As Director in the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, he plays a pivotal role in shaping India’s trade policy, promotion, and digital initiatives. He is also one of India’s lead negotiators in the ongoing US–India trade deal, serving as Deputy Chief Negotiator for the Bilateral Trade Agreement. What inspired me most was his perspective on how technology, policy, and people must work hand in hand to make India’s growth story both global and inclusive. Talking to him made me realize how much effort goes on quietly behind the scenes to shape our economy. We often see the policy headlines - but rarely the thought, responsibility, and dedication that drive them.

Recently met Shri Tokhan Sahu ji, Hon'ble Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs, at his residence. We spoke about how technology is driving urban transformation — from PMAY-U 2.0 & Angikaar Yojana, to the Smart Cities Mission where 7,600+ projects are already complete, and the launch of the Unified RERA Portal for nationwide transparency. The government is actively leveraging both technology and administrative resources to make housing accessible for all. With a single PMAY-U portal, beneficiaries can now apply and track their housing requests online. I asked him: But what about those who aren’t tech-savvy — the ones who need this the most? His reply: administrative officers, MLAs, and MPs of the regions have been guided to personally assist such beneficiaries. Technology enables scale, but human accountability ensures inclusivity. That’s how governance becomes meaningful — when progress is driven by technology, but delivered through people.
