#PHDCCI, with the support of DC-MSME, Ministry of MSME, Govt. of India, successfully concluded a series of one-day IPR Awareness Programmes across Ladakh from March 27–31, 2026, engaging 270+ participants including students, entrepreneurs, research scholars, and SHG members. 📍 GDC Khaltsi-Leh (March 27): The session began with Mr. Stanzin Stamdin, Assistant Professor, welcoming the speaker Mr. Mohd. Shahid Khan, Convenor, Education Committee & IPR Expert, PHDCCI. The programme was graced by Principal Dr. Sameena Iqbal. 📍 Kargil – Hotel Zojila Residency (March 28): The session was initiated by Mr. Iqbal Fayaz Jan, Deputy Director (PHDCCI-IPFC J&K Ladakh), followed by expert insights from Mr. Mohd. Shahid Khan and Advocate Inderneil Choudhary, IPR Attorney (United & United). 📍 SAST, Stakna Leh (March 30): The programme featured a welcome by Dr. Dorjay Namgyal, Director, along with sessions by Mr. Iqbal Fayaz Jan and Mr. Mohd. Shahid Khan, concluding with remarks by Dr. Maheshwar Singh Kanwar, Professor-cum-Chief Scientist, University of Ladakh. 📍 University of Ladakh, Taru Thang (March 31): The concluding session was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Saket Kushawa, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor. The session was welcomed by Dr. Suyash Pawar, Assistant Professor, with key inputs from Mr. Iqbal Fayaz Jan and Mr. Mohd. Shahid Khan. The programmes covered key aspects of IPR including patents, trademarks, copyrights, industrial designs, and Geographical Indications (GIs), while also highlighting MSME & SIDBI schemes, fostering entrepreneurship, and promoting industry-academia collaboration. The series marks a significant step towards strengthening innovation, enhancing IPR awareness, and building a sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem in Ladakh. One-Day IP Awareness Programme held at Sarhali, Tarn Taran, Punjab PHDCCI Intellectual Property Facilitation Centre, Amritsar & MSME Committee, with support from the Office of the Development Commissioner (MSME), Ministry of MSME, Government of India, and in association with SROT Foundation, organized a One-Day Intellectual Property (IP) Awareness Programme on 30th March 2026 at Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Sarhali. The programme aimed to educate MSMEs, startups, academicians, and aspiring entrepreneurs on the importance of IPR, with participation from 70+ attendees. CA Jaideep Singh, Convener, Amritsar Zone, Punjab State Chapter, PHDCCI, emphasized the importance of protecting ideas for sustainable growth and competitiveness. Expert sessions were delivered by Ms. Muskan Sharma, IPR Expert, Integrum IP, Mohali; Dr. Mrigender Bedi, Assistant Director (CR&A), PTU & Advisor, SROT; and Mr. Amit Madaan, Chairman, SROT, who shared insights on IP types, registration processes, evolving IPR landscape, and its role in entrepreneurship. The session was moderated by Ms. Shruti Sharma, Associate Professor, Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, Sarhali, Tarn Taran.
