As we look back at the conversations and walkthroughs from the Airtel Arena this past week, it was a pleasure hosting Shri Abhishek Singh, AS, MeitY; DG, NIC & CEO, India AI Mission, for an in-depth walkthrough of our AI infrastructure capabilities. During his visit, he explored the Arena, spending time understanding #AirtelCloud and our approach to building a telco-grade sovereign cloud, built in India, for India, where data sovereignty and compliance are maintained by design. This vision of trusted, sovereign cloud foundations deeply resonated, leading to a meaningful exchange on what it takes to build secure, future-ready digital ecosystems, truly echoing our mission of #PoweringAIforIndia.

We were glad to host several government dignitaries and distinguished leaders at the Airtel Arena, each engaging in insightful walkthroughs of Airtel’s evolving AI journey for India. Over the course of the summit, we had the opportunity to interact with Shri Harishankar Verma, Member (Operations & Business Development), Railway Board and Lieutenant General Bhavnish Kumar, AVSM, VSM, GOC Delhi Area, as they explored the Arena’s distinct zones - from AI Infrastructure and AI-Driven Networks to AI-Powered Digital Platforms and AI for Everyone. The last few days have been truly encouraging as we’ve engaged in meaningful conversations around the Airtel Safe Network — powered by AI to analyse malicious activities and patterns in real time. When we built this solution in 2024, it began as an ambition to protect citizens in an increasingly digital world from fraud calls, SMS, malicious links, and now even OTP misuse. Since then, our commitment to safeguarding India has only grown stronger. Here’s a proud glimpse of Shri Shaktikanta Das, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister of India and former RBI Governor, engaging with and experiencing how India’s first fraud-fighting network, powered by Airtel, makes this possible.

A wonderful afternoon spent with the Hon’ble Prime Minister of Bhutan, Tshering Tobgay, and Sunil Bharti Mittal, our Founder & Chairman, Bharti Enterprises, at the India AI Impact Summit 2026. We had the honour of showcasing to His Excellency our AI-led initiatives at the Airtel Arena, offering a first-hand view of our Satellite Connectivity capabilities and Airtel Cloud - a telco-grade, sovereign cloud built in India, for India. Alongside Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Hon’ble Union Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting, and Electronics & Information Technology; Mr. Sunil Bharti Mittal, Founder & Chairman, Bharti Enterprises; and Jay Chaudhry, CEO, Chairman, and Founder, Zscaler, we launched the AI & Cyber Threat Research Center – India. A designed “In India, For India” multi-stakeholder digital initiative, the Centre is dedicated to advancing India’s cyber resilience, accelerating trusted AI adoption and building a future-ready talent pipeline. Through this collaboration, we aim to support India’s progress toward Viksit Bharat and a peaceful, secure, and digitally self-reliant future.

We were honoured to welcome Dr. P. K. Mishra, Principal Secretary to the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India; Shri Tarun Kapoor, Advisor to the Prime Minister; and Shri S Krishnan, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, to the Airtel Arena at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 As they explored Airtel’s AI use cases, they engaged closely with our Safe Network, India’s first AI-powered fraud-fighting network. With over 2.9 Bn+ spam SMS and 71 Bn+ spam calls identified, and 7.9 lakh malicious domains blocked, Airtel is embedding AI directly into the network to protect citizens and businesses in real time. By combining network intelligence, behavioural analysis, and proactive fraud detection, we are transforming the telecom network into an intelligent, always-on layer of digital protection for India.
