For decades, families have a Family Doctor for health and also a Family Advocate for legal matters. But when we deeply observed the world around us today — the anxiety in homes, the uncertainty in careers, the silent pressure on students, the emotional exhaustion of professionals, and the helplessness of many parents — We strongly feel the coming years will create the need for something equally important: A Family Career Coach. Why do we say this? Because we are living in one of the most uncertain career eras in history. A student entering college today does not know: which jobs will exist after 5 years, which skills will remain relevant, whether employment or entrepreneurship is the better path, or whether AI will redefine entire professions. At the same time: experienced professionals are suddenly losing stability, senior employees are being asked to leave, people are shifting to consulting and freelancing, job titles are changing rapidly, and mental stress around careers is becoming a silent family issue. Parents are worried. Children are confused. Professionals are anxious. Everyone is searching for clarity. This is where we strongly feel families will increasingly need someone who: understands industry realities, understands human emotions, understands changing careers, understands life stages, and can guide with maturity, empathy and experience. Someone who can become a neutral listener and trusted advisor to the family. Interestingly, our Founder Dr Anand Wadadekar had thought about the “Family Career Counsellor” concept back in 2014 itself. Perhaps the ecosystem then was still stable enough not to feel the urgency. But today, the need feels real. Now career guidance is no longer a one-time activity. It may evolve into an ongoing relationship of trust between families and a knowledgeable career mentor. Because careers today are no longer only about jobs. They are about identity, confidence, emotional wellbeing, financial stability and life direction. And maybe that is why the role of a “Family Career Coach” will become one of the most meaningful professions of now and the future. #FutureOfWork #CareerCoach #CareerGuidance #Parents #GenZ #Leadership #LearningAndDevelopment #CareerCounselling #Employability #AI #WorkplaceTrends #ProfessionalGrowth

“Every breakthrough was once an anti-clockwise thought in a clockwise world.” In every system, some people move clockwise and some anti-clockwise. The mistake we make is assuming that different movement means wrong movement. Some employees follow structure; Some challenge assumptions; Some protect stability; Some disrupt for innovation. Organizations often celebrate only the “clockwise people” — the predictable, aligned, conventional ones. But transformation usually begins with the “anti-clockwise minds”: the question askers; the uncomfortable thinkers; the reformers; the creators; the dissenters. Without them, systems may run smoothly — but never evolve.

We see LinkedIn is getting full of “Dr.” prefixes professionals. Corporate professionals with 15-20+ years of experience are pursuing DBA/Doctorate programs from foreign-based institutes in Switzerland, Europe, and other global destinations. At the same time, honorary doctorates (Honoris Causa) are being aggressively marketed through sponsored ads on LinkedIn and Facebook. This raises important questions for India’s corporate, academic, and skilling ecosystem. Why this sudden rise? Is it: • A personal branding exercise? • Preparation for a second career in teaching, consulting, coaching, and speaking? • A response to job insecurity in the AI era? • A way to stay professionally relevant after senior corporate roles plateau? • Or simply the growing social prestige attached to the “Dr.” prefix? Read our full blog: https://lnkd.in/d_2Ka4Jf Is it time for India to discuss: • Industry-focused DBA programs • Executive doctoral pathways • Flexible online/hybrid doctoral models • Practice-based research degrees • UGC-recognised professional doctorates for working executives The bigger question is not whether people should pursue doctorates. The bigger question is: Is India ready to redefine doctoral education for experienced professionals in the age of AI, portfolio careers, and lifelong learning? What are your thoughts?
