  • Congrats to everyone at LetsTransport Group (LTG)

Bertelsmann Next has formally entered India, and it begins with Logistics: Read more on Mint! https://lnkd.in/euku8t6b Through Bertelsmann Next India (BNI), Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA has acquired an 80% majority stake in LetsTransport, now rebranded as LetsTransport Group (LTG). The move signals a shift from minority venture investing to a buy-and-build, operating-led model focused on long-term value creation. As Pankaj Makkar, MD, BII, shared, “Think of us as quasi-strategic, quasi-financial investors… Whatever is in the middle, comes out of Bertelsmann Next.” BNI will focus on the logistics ecosystem, starting with LTG as its anchor platform, with plans for further acquisitions over the next 18–24 months. The ambition of Bertelsmann Next India is clear: back companies that have crossed product-market fit and go-to-market maturity, and build them into billion-dollar revenue platforms over time. Importantly, Bertelsmann India Investments continues unchanged in its role as a purely financial, sector-agnostic, early-growth stage VC fund with the same mandate, team and growth momentum. BII is deploying out of its recently raised US$500m fund, and Bertelsmann remains committed to the BII journey as it deepens its commitment to India. At the LetsTransport Group, founders remain in full operational leadership as the company scales from one of India’s leading trucking marketplaces into one of the country’s foremost, tech-enabled logistics platforms for enterprise and mid-market customers. With LTG also strengthening partnerships across the ecosystem, including Shiprocket, this marks the beginning of a more operating-intensive chapter for Bertelsmann in India. The horizon is longer, with Evergreen Capital in play. • An exciting new chapter for LetsTransport We’re proud to share that we’re joining the Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA (Bertelsmann) family as LetsTransport Group — backed by evergreen capital and global operating expertise through Bertelsmann Next India (BNI). From day one, we’ve focused on building a tech-enabled logistics platform that delivers real value — reliable operations, strong unit economics, and solutions that work for both enterprises and the people who move goods every day. Bertelsmann India Investments (Bertelsmann India Investments) has been a strong, patient partner in our journey. Their belief in our long-term vision has helped us build the business the right way. Now, with Bertelsmann and BNI, we have the ability to invest deeply in infrastructure, technology, and talent — without short-term constraints. This gives us the conviction to: * Scale our part-truckload capabilities * Strengthen ecosystem solutions for truck owners * Make enterprise-grade logistics accessible to businesses of all sizes We’re also collaborating with Shiprocket, combining our nationwide trucking network with their platform to strengthen intra-city, mid-mile, PTL, and warehousing capabilities. And none of this would have been possible without our team. To every LetsTransporter — thank you. Your grit, ownership, and relentless execution built this company the right way: disciplined, resilient, and value-driven. This milestone belongs to you. We remain founder-led and hands-on — now with the resources and time to build something truly enduring. Excited for what we’ll build next. 🚚 Pushkar Singh Prateek Pujari Sumit Yadav Avtar Singh Saini Yaswant Rajkumar Rajarshi Chakrabarti Rutvij Oza Anupam Rai Aman Agarwala Bishan Behari Mukherjee Amit Dixit Ajay Shukla Prasun Shandilya Aravindh Rajendran Dilip Kumar Utsav Mishra

When capital is structured for the long term, good businesses get the time they deserve. We are thrilled to announce the launch of Bertelsmann Next India (BNI) — a platform designed to back scalable, high-potential businesses in India with long-term, patient capital and strategic support. BNI will operate as a separate and distinct platform focused on building and scaling businesses over the long horizon through majority ownership, while Bertelsmann India Investments (BII) will continue its successful strategy of minority growth investments in early-growth stage companies (Series A-C) across sectors. As BNI’s first move, we have acquired an 80% stake in LetsTransport, which will continue to be led by its founders, Pushkar Singh and Prateek Pujari. Having worked very closely over the last four years with Pushkar, Prateek, and the entire Let’s Transport team, I can’t think of a more fitting first investment for BNI. The team has demonstrated remarkable resilience, discipline, and ambition in building a sustainable, scalable business that addresses a significant gap in the logistics ecosystem. With Bertelsmann’s long-term capital and the backing of the BNI platform, we are excited about partnering with the founders to accelerate the next phase of growth and value creation. Looking forward to the journey ahead. A meaningful milestone in our journey. Building logistics in India teaches you one thing: scale only matters if it creates real value — for customers and for the people who move goods every day. At LetsTransport, we’ve spent years building a platform battle-tested by large enterprise procurement and operations teams across complex, high-frequency use cases. That experience shaped how we think about reliability, unit economics, and execution at scale — not growth for its own sake. Bertelsmann India Investments (BII) has been a long-term partner in that journey, bringing patient capital and deep trust in how we wanted to build the business. For over seven years, Pankaj Makkar, Rohit Sood and Jayesh Bavle have been true mentors to our young team. During some of the toughest moments, they often showed even greater conviction than we did — and that belief meaningfully shaped the path and evolution of LetsTransport. I’m also grateful to Carsten Coesfeld for his continued belief in the business and for backing our long-term vision. That consistency matters far more than most people realise — it enables us to take sustainable business calls instead of being driven by short-term decision-making. That sustained conviction has now culminated in a new chapter: following our majority acquisition by Bertelsmann Next India (BNI), we enter this next phase as the LetsTransport Group. BNI brings evergreen capital and an operating mindset — enabling us to invest in infrastructure, technology, and people without being constrained by short-term exit timelines. It allows us to build with greater patience and clarity. This next phase lets us deepen long-horizon systems — from part-truckload capabilities that improve access to India’s hinterlands, to ecosystem services that reduce operating costs for truck owners, and enterprise-grade logistics solutions that make reliable freight accessible to smaller businesses. We’re also beginning to collaborate more closely within the broader BII ecosystem — working alongside portfolio companies like Shiprocket to thoughtfully explore areas of alignment and build more effectively over time. I’m especially grateful to Pushkar Singh, my partner-in-crime for over a decade, with whom this journey continues into the decades ahead. And to the broader LetsTransport leadership and core team — Sumit Yadav Bishan Behari Mukherjee Aman Agarwala Dilip Kumar Amit Dixit Avtar Singh Saini Yaswant Rajkumar Prasun Shandilya Rajarshi Chakrabarti Rutvij Oza Ajay Shukla Utsav Mishra Aravindh Rajendran Anupam Rai — without whose commitment and belief this journey would not have been possible. We remain a founder-led, hands-on team. What’s changed is our ability to plan further ahead, invest more patiently, and build with even greater conviction. Grateful for the trust — and excited about what we can now build, together. Read more: https://lnkd.in/gs3bpG7C.
