Excited to share that an article has been featured in the April 2026 edition of EverythingAboutWater — India's leading publication for the water and wastewater sector. The piece is built around a real project: a 1.1 million sqft premium mall in Bengaluru that significantly reduced both water costs and energy consumption — without adding new infrastructure. The core insight is simple but often overlooked: water and energy aren't separate problems. Every pump cycle, every treatment run, every cooling tower operation has an energy cost attached to it. Most buildings already have the systems they need. What they are missing is visibility into how those systems are actually behaving. Once that visibility came in, small adjustments across pumping, treatment, and reuse collectively shifted the building's energy baseline. No overhaul. No large capital spend. Just better information, acted on consistently. On 10th May, Greenvironment’s Co-CEO Varun Sridharan addressed the Bangalore Apartments' Federation (BAF) Parihara Water Sustainability Workshop at Visvesvaraya RWH Theme Park, Jayanagar — engaging with Bengaluru’s apartment communities and RWA leaders who are actively seeking practical and measurable water sustainability solutions. Bengaluru spends nearly ₹5.7 crore every day on water pumping operations. At the same time, many apartment communities continue to experience 7–10% unaccounted water loss, while STPs operate with limited monitoring and operational visibility. For years, the industry has relied on fragmented systems, manual operations, and reactive maintenance approaches that often fail to deliver long-term efficiency or accountability. Technology alone is not the solution. Measurable outcomes, transparency, and operational intelligence are what truly matter. Today, real-time monitoring, IoT-enabled sensors, automated STP controls, and CPCB-compliant data integration are no longer concepts under trial — they are already being implemented across 421+ buildings by Greenvironment, delivering measurable operational and financial impact. With the 2026 KSPCB OCEMS mandate approaching, the sector is entering a phase where data-driven accountability and sustainability performance will become essential.
