The ELCINA EMC is a model ecosystem for Electronic Systems Design & Manufacturing (ESDM) companies. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮: 💠 India’s first greenfield EMC set up by ELCINA members, an industry body serving the sector since 1967 💠 India’s first EMC with a state-of-the-art semiconductor ATMP/OSAT facility, where Sahasra Semiconductors became the first SME to start commercial memory chip production 💠 One of India’s first EMCs to become operational 💠 A modern ecosystem with a skilling centre by ESSCI, among Rajasthan’s first advanced technology training facilities Developed cooperatively by ELCINA member companies, the 50-acre cluster was supported by MeitY under the EMC Scheme, 2012, with facilitation from RIICO and BIP. Sahasra Semiconductors Private Limited invested over ₹150 crore in Phase 1 under MeitY’s SPECS scheme, with another ₹150 crore planned for Phase 2, taking the total to about ₹300 crore. The EMC has 20 units, with 12 operational and 3 under construction. Key companies include Aisan Industries India, EPack Durable, Sahasra Electronics (EMS), Hitech Engineers, RD Appliances, Parul Ventures, Mercury Heatex, and the ESSCI CUC. Others at the trial-production or construction stage include Elin Electronics Ltd, Duggar Power Products, Deki Electronics, and Fusion Polymers. The gated complex has centralized security and fire-fighting systems, with a strong sustainability focus. Key features include zero liquid discharge, solar energy, rainwater harvesting, and a common sewage treatment plant. Together, these developments show how industry collaboration and policy support can strengthen India’s electronics and semiconductor manufacturing capabilities.
