What 2025 Taught Me as a Founder & CEO 1️⃣ “Gen Z isn’t good for corporates.” I read this everywhere. It even made me hesitate while hiring. Reality check: 80% of our hires this year were Gen Z. And yes, that statement is as true as “everyone likes pineapple on pizza.” 🍍 Gen Z doesn’t lack discipline; they lack tolerance for outdated systems. 2️⃣ Your senior-most team won’t always stand by you in tough times. Sometimes, it’s the opposite. The younger team listens, adapts, and understands. Seniors often assume. And assumptions are expensive. 3️⃣ Dress codes don’t define professionalism anymore. If your tongue makes sense, your ideas are clear, and your intent is right; Everything else can be skipped. 4️⃣ Founders are allowed to feel low. Sad. Demotivated. Confused. The belief that founders must always have a plan is wrong. We fall. We pause. We replan. We come back stronger. That’s growth. 5️⃣ Lean teams can outperform large facades. You don’t need 300–400 people to look successful when half that number actually performs. Productivity > optics. 6️⃣ Interns & freshers can create magic in 3–4 months. Sometimes even more than experienced hires; if training starts from Day 1 and work + responsibility + leadership are aligned to their domain. 7️⃣ Degrees and certificates matter 110%. But sometimes, passion and hunger can conquer all of it. 8️⃣ Not every business needs funding. When everyone around us was raising capital, we thought AdEngage should too. Then we realised; In this industry, a strong sales team is the best investor. We’ve been bootstrapped for 15 years, and proud of it. 2025 reminded me: Growth isn’t always loud.
