“Some managers you work for. Some managers change how you work. Ariel is the second kind. Ariel hired me at Veev and what I expected was a boss. What I got was a leader who fundamentally shaped how I think about product, teams, and what good looks like at scale. The things I carry with me today as a product leader, the way I approach strategy, the way I build and develop teams, the way I think about making hard calls when the data isn't clear, so much of that traces back to what I learned working under Ariel. He didn't hand me a playbook. He created an environment where I could figure things out, make mistakes, and grow into a better version of myself as a product person. What makes Ariel exceptional isn't just his product instincts, which are sharp. It's the way he leads people. He gives you enough room to own your work and enough guidance to make sure you're growing while doing it. That balance is incredibly rare. I'll tell you a quick story. I was once in an interview for a CPO role. After the formal part was done, we got to chatting about what they were really looking for in a leader. I told them straight up: the person you're describing is Ariel. That wasn't a throwaway comment. That's how highly I think of him. I haven't reported to him in years. We still talk regularly. We still collaborate. We still meet and exchange ideas about product, leadership, and where the industry is going. That's not a former manager relationship. That's a mentor who became a lasting part of my career. There are a handful of people who fundamentally shaped the product leader I am today. Ariel is at the top of that list. Anyone who gets the chance to work with him will understand exactly what I mean. ”

Technology volunteering is one way to bridge this gap - bypassing bureaucratic obstacles and contributing our expertise to make everyday life a little easier. The technological power embedded in hi-tech makes this volunteering not just a privilege, but nearly a moral imperative.
