We’re very proud to once again sponsor the Women in Gaming conference, led by Elinor Schops and Neta Friedlander. These lines are being written by a woman. Whose manager is a woman. Whose manager is also a woman. We’ll be even happier when that no longer feels worth pointing out.

You know those tiny miracles when technology is suddenly on your side? Your new phone has everything from the old one. Your laptop simply connects to the meeting room screen. The printer actually prints. Pure magic. That feeling, when technology just works, is exactly what Or Ovadia creates at Candivore. His official job? IT. His actual job? Making sure tech doesn’t ruin anyone’s day.

If you haven’t heard of TechHeal yet, we’re proud to help share what they’re setting out to do. TechHeal officially launched yesterday, bringing together therapists, senior leaders from Israel’s tech industry, and people coping with PTSD. Together, they’ll work on technological solutions for real challenges faced by people living with post-traumatic stress. The project is led by Michal Hershkovitz and created by TechGym in collaboration with Metiv | The Israel Psychotrauma Center. It’s an incredible initiative, and we’re proud to support it as sponsors. What does the Head of Art at your studio do? Ours made an employee edition of “Guess Who?” For Noa Aflalo Helman, who came back from maternity leave to a lot of new faces. Productive use of his time? Absolutely. No notes. Ido Leshem

I bet you want to know how Assaf, Lootheads’ CEO, manages an incredible studio incredibly well. Careful. The answer is annoyingly simple. And apparently, annoyingly effective. * Lootheads is one of the studios backed by Candiventures, and we’re proud to learn from the brilliant people building the studios we believe in.

Thanks to Chagai Shtulman, we had a company-wide brainstorm for new Match Masters game modes. We ended up with more good ideas than the game can possibly fit. Some of us are ready to take it EXTREMELY personally if our ideas don’t make it into the game.

We’re HIRING people for the team behind every game decision! Our Game Analytics team knows that without them, we’re basically just guessing. Come be the person winning every debate with: "That's what the data says." Think you’re the missing column in our dashboard? Link to more details about the role is in the comments!

The most productive thing you can do for your game right now is simply ignore that growing pile of tasks and play a little. Ophir Sheriff, Candiventures and Candihub Lead, is here with your daily reminder to actually dedicate around 10% of your day to playing your game. The most important thing about a product that sells fun is staying constantly connected to that feeling of fun. If dedicating a tenth of your time to your game is the best task you could ever think of, great - figure out what makes it fun and double down on it. And if it’s not, that’s even more important - use that time to figure out why your game isn’t worth 10% of your day.
