Last week, RTÉ's Platform Operations team welcomed students from Vision Ireland's TY LENS programme to RTÉ. The TY LENS programme is an inspiring initiative that empowers students who are blind or vision impaired to build independence, confidence and practical skills as they prepare for the world of work. A key part of the programme is giving students first-hand exposure to real workplace environments and expectations. During their visit to RTÉ, students had the chance to: 🎙️ Meet RTÉ 2FM’s Laura Fox, news2day presenter Florence Okojie and editor Anne‑Marie Smyth 🎧 Visit the RTÉ News Podcast studio and record their own podcast discussions 🔊 Learn about audio description with RTÉ AD Specialist Óran O’Neill, along with his guide dog, Larry and much more. Thank you to Vision Ireland and all those involved in making this such a memorable and inspiring experience.
