What an incredible few days at the at the Worldchefs - World Association of Chefs' Societies Congress 2026. Hosted by the Welsh Association of Chefs, this landmark event marked the first ever Worldchefs Congress to be held in the UK - bringing together chefs, educators, innovators and hospitality leaders from more than 100 countries under the inspiring theme, “Pasture, Passion, Plate.” Representing the Solina UK&I foodservice brands, Gary Kilminster spent four fantastic days connecting with chefs from across the globe, sharing ideas, discussing the future of the industry and celebrating the passion that drives hospitality forward. A huge congratulations to Arwyn Watkins OBE and the entire team behind the event. The level of dedication, organisation and hospitality on display created a truly world-class experience for everyone involved. From networking and live demonstrations to competitions and inspiring conversations, the congress was a powerful reminder of the global community that exists within our industry - and the exciting future ahead. Assist FM 2026🎉 Last week, Andrew Beattie reconnected with customers at the annual Assist FM event - a fantastic opportunity to explore the future of facilities management and discover the innovation and great work happening north of the border. On the menu, we served contemporary street food-inspired tasters featuring Essential Cuisine’s Street Food Chef Thai Style Seasoning (NDA^) and Asian Aromatic Base in a warming chicken ramen noodle dish. Guests also enjoyed a vegan alternative made with crispy smoked The Tofoo Co , coated in our Street Food Chef American BBQ Style Seasoning. Andy also introduced delegates to the Rich Sauces Great Taste Made Simple range, showcasing versatile sauce solutions designed to deliver consistency, quality and convenience in busy catering environments.🍜🔥👨🍳 Delegates also left with samples, specially tailored to the education sector, giving them the chance to experiment with new ideas in their own kitchens. What a fantastic event this week at RAF Honington with the incredible ESS – Defence, Energy and Government Services 👏 Representing Solina UK&I, Essential Cuisine, Rich Sauces & Zafron Foods, were proud to support an unforgettable street food-style event attended by around 600 guests from local RAF bases. From giant hangars and live DJs to monster trucks and an amazing atmosphere, the energy was incredible all day long. Jessica Sharp absolutely smashed it in the kitchen, serving up Jamaican Style chicken and fries, that quickly became crowd favourites - with guests returning for seconds… and even thirds! 🔥🍗🍟 A huge shoutout to ESS for putting on such a brilliant event and to everyone involved who kept things running from prep through to service. It was a full-on shift, but a hugely rewarding one with fantastic teamwork throughout.
