Tentang kami

At B/NDL Studios, we believe communication should make people feel understood, not overwhelmed. Based in Jakarta, we work with professionals, managers, and teams to make that possible through The CommonGround FrameworkⓇ(The CGF Model), strategic writing workshops, and editorial-style content that brings clarity and connection. On LinkedIn, we share more than writing tips or workshop updates. We share reflections and stories that speak to the everyday challenges of communicating at work, whether it’s leading a team, presenting an idea, or writing that tough email or report. We’re proud to be part of The Jakarta Post Group, carrying forward a tradition of independent, quality journalism while partnering with corporations and development organizations. More than that, we see ourselves as a trusted partner here to help leaders and teams find clarity, build trust, and communicate with empathy. If you’re exploring executive communication training, content campaigns, or thought-leadership initiatives, we’d love to connect and create impact together.

Your data, your story, their pain points. Before presenting to the board, or the shareholders, I always do one thing that is probably different compared to others. I ask one question: "What are they worried about most in the context of the presentation?" Not what they want. Not what they expect. Not even what they need. The reason I start with the audience's concerns is it helps me build a narrative that not only aims to deliver solutions, but also aims to ease tension. This is my main principle in telling stories: Good stories are not enough to persuade your listeners. You need good stories that MOVE. And movement only happens when there's tension. This is what makes your data shine in front of your stakeholders. Not its accuracy, that's a given. Not its meaning, that's also a given. But how your data can contextualize the framing of the problem that needs solving. Everything else is noise. If this is something you're interested in, well... This June 6, 2026 The Jakarta Post and B/NDL Studios are hosting a one-day offline workshop "From Data to Decisions" for those working with (mostly financial) data who actively communicate with stakeholders outside of your department/sector. Your audience doesn't need translations, what they need is context to a shared problem. 📌 Let us show you how to package data into stories. Plus, we have a special rate for our LinkedIn audiences, code: CGF23 📍Check out the link for more info and redeem your special rate here: https://lnkd.in/gjZ6U6Dp Seats are limited to maintain an interactive session. • Most teams no longer struggle with data collection. Dashboards are everywhere, reports are detailed, and analysis is in full swing. Yet we must strive to ensure meetings conclude with clear decisions that pave the way for meaningful action.   The challenge that many organizations overlook lies in understanding: - What the data truly means - Which insights are the most important - What actions should follow   In collaboration with The Jakarta Post, we have developed a workshop for professionals who want to go beyond mere number reporting and engage in clearer, more strategic data-driven conversations.   From Data to Decisions: Insights and Storytelling in Finance 🗓 Saturday, June 6, 2026   In this workshop, we will explore how to: - Identify meaningful insights from complex data - Structure narratives that resonate - Communicate ideas that inspire action   Given the specificity of this topic, it's uncertain when this exact public workshop will be offered again. If this aligns with your work or your team, now may be the ideal time to join. ✨   → Registration closes on June 4  → Limited seats are available    Click the link to learn more and register: https://lnkd.in/gyZKebCX   #DataStorytelling #BusinessCommunication #LeadershipCommunication #StrategicThinking #DecisionMaking #ProfessionalDevelopment #CorporateTraining #DataInsights

  • You can have complete reports, accurate numbers, and detailed analysis, yet still walk out of meetings without clear decisions. Not because the data is wrong, but because the insight behind it hasn’t fully landed. This is something we’ve repeatedly seen across organizations: teams spend months building reports, but still struggle to turn them into conversations that create alignment and action. That’s why, together with The Jakarta Post, we’re opening this public workshop: From Data to Decisions: Insights and Storytelling in Finance A workshop designed for professionals in finance and data who want to: • identify which insights actually matter • communicate data with greater clarity • structure ideas that stakeholders can follow • move discussions toward decisions This session uses The CGF Model (CommonGround Framework®), a framework designed to help professionals think, frame, and communicate more strategically. And because this is a highly specific topic, we honestly don’t know when this exact workshop will be reopened publicly. Time to elevate your professional skills. If this feels relevant to your work or your team, this might be the right time to join. 🗓 6 June 2026 📍 The Jakarta Post Building → Registration closes on June 4 → Limited seats available 👉 Learn more and register while seats are still available: https://lnkd.in/gJMKsVi2 #DataStorytelling #BusinessCommunication #StrategicThinking #LeadershipCommunication #DecisionMaking #ProfessionalDevelopment #CorporateTraining #DataInsights #FinanceTeam

#BusinessCommunication #LeadershipCommunication #DataStorytelling #ProfessionalDevelopment #StrategicThinking #CommunicationSkills #DecisionMaking

  • Hi all, good news — our public workshop #FromDatatoDecisions: Insights and Storytelling in Finance is still open for registration ✨ Many professionals and teams told us they needed more time to align schedules, secure internal approvals, and plan participation together. To accommodate those needs, the workshop has been rescheduled to 6 June 2026, and registration will remain open until 4 June 2026. In many organizations, the challenge is no longer about having data. The challenge is knowing which insights matter, how to frame them clearly, and how to turn them into decisions that move the organization forward. Together with The Jakarta Post, we’re opening a space to explore exactly that through the workshop. If your work involves translating numbers into direction, this workshop might be worth exploring with your team. → Registration closes on June 4, 2026 → Limited seats available Learn more and register through this link: https://lnkd.in/gJMKsVi2 Feel free to like and repost; someone in your network might find this relevant. #DataStorytelling #BusinessCommunication #DataInsights #LeadershipCommunication #StrategicThinking #DecisionMaking #ProfessionalDevelopment #CorporateTraining

#DataStorytelling #BusinessCommunication #LeadershipCommunication #DecisionMaking #Finance #ProfessionalDevelopment #CommunicationTraining #StrategicThinking

  • Many professionals working in finance, accounting, and audit already have complete data and strong analysis. However, the process often stops at data sharing, without leading to the strategic decisions organizations actually need. This is usually where problems begin, and where organizations become slower to move forward. Because what organizations need is not just numbers and data, but the meaning behind them: what the data is actually trying to say, which insights should be highlighted, and how to communicate them clearly to different audiences. That is where the “gap” between data and decision often happens. In collaboration with The Jakarta Post, we are excited to hold our upcoming public workshop: "From Data to Decision: Insights and Storytelling in Finance" 📅 Saturday, May 23, 2026 | 📍The Jakarta Post Building Through this workshop, you will learn how to: • Build clear messages from data • Develop relevant framing • Deliver insights clearly and effectively If your work involves turning numbers and data into strategic decisions across management, divisions, or entities, this workshop might be the next step for you. → Learn more and register now: https://lnkd.in/gVSBgNdm Limited seats available — only 20 participants. Feel free to share this with someone who might benefit from it. #DataStorytelling #BusinessCommunication #CommunicationTraining #DataInsights #LeadershipCommunication #ProfessionalDevelopment #StrategicThinking #DecisionMaking #CorporateTraining #ThinkingFramework

#DataStorytelling #BusinessCommunication #CommunicationTraining #DataInsights #LeadershipCommunication #ProfessionalDevelopment #StrategicThinking #DecisionMaking #CorporateTraining #ThinkingFramework

  • Last week, we had the opportunity to collaborate closely with a collective team from RGE, APRIL, Asian Agri, Apical, and Tanoto Foundation Indonesia during a corporate training session focused on #TheCGFModel: Write with purpose, structure with intent. What truly stood out was not only the level of engagement in the room but also the willingness to rethink an aspect many professionals often take for granted: #communication. In many organizations, the challenge is not from a lack of capability. Instead, it lies in the difficulty of answering critical questions: What matters? Why does it matter? And how should it be communicated so that the message resonates? Through The CommonGround Framework®, we collaborated with participants in roles such as copywriter, social media specialist, communications coordinator, marketing associate, employer branding specialist, and other roles from the communication division. Our goal was to help them shift their mindset from seeing writing as just a task to recognizing communication as a thoughtful process. This perspective is particularly important in high-stakes environments where #clarity, #context, and #credibility are essential. The session focused on: - Sharpening message clarity and focus - Building a stronger context around “why it matters.” - Structuring ideas so that they carry meaning and momentum In a world filled with content, #effectivecommunication focuses on creating meaningful insights that inspire action and influence decisions. Thank you for your trust, energy, and insightful discussions during the session. Maintain your focus on applying the framework in your daily routine, and we look forward to collaborating again! If your organization is facing similar challenges in writing, reporting, or communication, we would be happy to explore how this approach can be adapted to your context. • Most finance professionals are trained to trust the numbers. If the report is accurate, the decision should be easy, right? But data is often only a silent witness. It tells us what happened, yet it rarely explains why. Without context, even the strongest analysis can lead teams to the wrong conclusion. As shared in the article, a drop in productivity might look like underperformance on a dashboard, but the real story could be a system migration, a supply chain disruption, or a temporary operational shift. This is where storytelling becomes a leadership skill. Because stakeholders don’t act on numbers alone. They act on clarity, meaning, and direction. At B/NDL Studios, we believe finance professionals are no longer just reporting figures; they are shaping decisions. Through The CommonGround Framework® (The CGF Model), we help professionals turn data into narratives that create alignment, influence, and action. Clarity. Structure. Articulation. That’s how data stops being a report and starts becoming a decision. If your work involves reports, analysis, and recommendations, but decisions still feel slow or unclear, this might be the missing layer. Join our upcoming public workshop: From Data to Decisions: Insights and Storytelling in Finance 📅 May 23, 2026 🔗 https://lnkd.in/ggcPJymR Because numbers explain the past. But stories shape what happens next. #LeadershipCommunication #DataStorytelling #BusinessCommunication #CommunicationTraining #ProfessionalDevelopment #StrategicThinking #CorporateTraining #ClearCommunication #FinanceLeadership #DecisionMaking #DataInsights #StorytellingForBusiness #ThinkingFramework #IntentBuilding
