📢 Today, the International Press Institute (IPI) unveils a new visual identity – its most comprehensive rebranding in more than 30 years. This includes a brand-new logo, updated colour palette, and renewed website UI and UX, along with modernised typography across all programmes and platforms: https://buff.ly/yqNsT6R First unveiled at the closing of the 2025 IPI World Congress and Media Innovation Festival in Vienna, the refreshed look modernises our visual presence and conveys our strategic vision, while staying true to our 75-year legacy of defending press freedom and supporting independent journalism. As we change our look across our digital and communications channels, our mission remains unchanged: to defend press freedom and support independent journalism, thereby supporting the free flow of news. This identity is the result of a collaborative effort that began almost one year ago, drawing on deep expertise and passion across our team. Feiern, sich austauschen, Schönes gemeinsam erleben: In unserer neuen Ausgabe Grafikmagazin 03.25 »Festivals & Events« dreht sich alles um den visuellen Rahmen und die Orte, an denen gute Gestaltung auf Menschen trifft. Ob Filmfest, Konferenz oder Agenturevent – tolle Plakate, stringente visuelle Identitäten und passende Goodies prägen, wie wir Veranstaltungen wahrnehmen. Außerdem starten wir unsere neue Fokusreihe »Public Value«: Wie kann gutes Design dem Gemeinwohl dienen? Hierzu sprachen wir zum Beispiel mit der Programmdirektorin des World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026. Weitere Beispiele liefert »Design & Research«, unsere Wissenschafts- und Hochschulrubrik, in der wir etwa zeigen, wie MetaDesign mit klarem Informationsdesign den Berliner ÖPNV verbessert oder wie Slow Media positiv Einfluss auf unsere Wahrnehmung der News-Landschaft nimmt. Im Showroom blicken wir hinter die Kulissen von The New Yorker: Im Interview erzählen Creative Director Nicholas Blechman und Cover-Direktorin Francoise Mouly, wie man einem Jahrhundertmagazin ein Gesicht gibt. Wir stellen die Highlights der 100 Beste Plakate vor, sprachen mit der Schweizer Agentur Groenlandbasel Architektur und Ausstellungen und natürlich dem Illustrator Sam Taylor, der unserer aktuellen Ausgabe das herrlich unbrave Cover verpasste – mit Festival-Flair und schrägem Charme. Brick Academy by Studio STOKI Brick Academy is an exclusive, mentorship-driven training program by the renowned Brick Visual, where students learn high-end 3D design and architectural visualization from industry-leading artists. From the very beginning of the rebranding process, given Brick Academy's field of specialty, a collaboration between us and the client was evident. We worked closely with one of Brick Visual’s artists, Lilla Hajnal to develop the 3D elements of the identity and once we had the visual framework and its assets ready, we had a very convenient toolbox to create a sleek website as well. #branding #brandidentity #branddesign
