Communication in the home, without all the shouting
Communication in the home comes in many forms. Dinner time conversations. Casual silliness while getting ready in the morning. Yelling across the house when it’s time to go. The frustrated knock on the bedroom door, when your cries go unheeded.
We all want more of the good and less of the bad, but sometimes you just need to get someone’s attention. Enter Signals for HomeKit.
Signals is designed to take advantage of the smart lights you already have, and use them as a communication feature in the home. With a single tap, you can flash any combination of lights in the house, immediately getting their attention – couple it with a text, and you’ll know they got the message.
With Signals, you can even create more meaningful messages:
- Create a “Dinner Time” Signal that will flash the lights in the kids rooms and the office, and turn their Night Lights blue
- A “Time to Go” Signal can pulse the kids rooms green, and leave them that way
- Get your urgency across with a “Need you Now” Signal that flashes the lights red
Signals can be triggered in the app, using Siri Shortcuts, and even right from your Home Screen with the new Widgets, so getting your message across is only a tap away
