Every construction site we work with has a different story. Different country, different scale, different contractor. But one number kept showing up the same:    Roughly 3 LTIs per 100 workers per year.🚨   Our next ImpAct Story📈 looks directly at this key metric.  Across most sites where viAct AI was deployed, the pattern stayed consistent. And behind each of those numbers is a project absorbing costs and delays that most risk registers never fully capture.    A single LTI carries direct costs of (approx) $250,000 to $500,000 including medical expenses, worker compensation, investigation time, and legal exposure. The indirect costs like zone shutdowns, crew delays, milestone penalties, and insurance pressure can push the real figure two to four times higher. 📈   What our data also showed us is that these injuries rarely came out of nowhere. The signals were there in advance. Near misses clustering in the same zones. The same tasks generating alerts across shifts. The pattern was visible. The system just wasn't moving fast enough to act on it.   In 2025-26, viAct's AI-powered safety modules changed that across 400+ construction sites. LTI rates dropped from ~3 to ~1 per 100 workers. More than 700 potential injuries prevented. Over 7,200 workdays preserved. Thousands of hours of uninterrupted project activity protected.✅   📊 That is what earlier visibility delivers. Not just safer sites but projects that actually finish on time.  Every number above has a site behind it. A contractor, a crew, a project that needed to stay on schedule. See how it played out on the ground.  👉 Dive into our Customer Success Stories: https://lnkd.in/gxuiB5pz  📲 Follow our WhatsApp channel for regular, practical updates: https://lnkd.in/g8Pg3xcD  #ImpActStory #EHS #ConstructionSafety #LTI #WorkplaceSafety #viAct

  • What an experience at the SCAL Productivity & Technology Week 2026! 🏗️ Our Co-Founder & COO, Hugo Cheuk, took the stage at the SCAL Productivity & Technology Week 2026 in Singapore to speak on one of the most important shifts happening in the built environment right now: how AI-VSS and Agentic AI are turning construction sites into self-monitoring, self-documenting ecosystems. The energy in the room said it all. Singapore's construction community is ready for this conversation and we were proud to be part of it. 🤝 A huge thanks to The Singapore Contractors Association Ltd (SCAL) for bringing together regulatory voices, industry practitioners, and technology innovators under one roof. These are exactly the conversations that move the needle. 🧭 A special thanks to Dr. Yannan Jing, Andy Lu, Eric Soh, Awalludin A., Gilbert Quek, Della Tan, Joey Teo, Alan Hei, Zhang Hongshan, Toh Kai Chiah for visiting us. It was truly great to connect! 🙌 Also heartfelt thank you to everyone who stopped by, asked questions, and shared your perspectives too. 💬 Scroll through for a few highlights from the event! 👇📸 Also want to stay updated on where viAct is headed next? • What's the real reason AI adoption still stalls on construction sites? 🏗️ It's a question our Co-founder Hugo Cheuk has been working on for a long time, and his answer might challenge how you think about AI implementation. 💡 🔍 Hint: it has nothing to do with the model. At viAct, this question didn't just shape our thinking. It shaped how we built our product from the ground up. 🛡️ Hugo shares the full story on his profile, and if you are associated with construction tech, it's worth a read. 👇 🔗 And if you're curious about how we've translated this thinking into our platform, visit us today: https://www.viact.ai/demo 📲 Also, follow our WhatsApp channel for regular, practical updates: https://lnkd.in/g8Pg3xcD #viAct #ResponsibleAI #AIInConstruction #AIForGood

Back in 2016, when Gary Ng and I started viAct, we thought the toughest problem in AI for construction was getting the model right. 🏗️ So, we spent years obsessing over accuracy, and we should have. But somewhere along the way, we noticed something the metrics couldn't capture. Something wasn't clicking between the technology and the people using it. And the more we dug in, the clearer it became: “an alert without context isn't a warning. It's noise”. It's been almost a decade of working on AI for construction, and one thing became clear: when AI feels like it's watching people rather than working with them, when there's no transparency around data, no clarity on detections, no explanation of why something flagged, people don't protest. They disengage. That's the blind spot most solution providers don't talk about. Focused on building smarter models, most of us almost forget the people who actually have to act on them. 🎯 So, we thought what responsible AI in construction actually means: not just accurate detections, but explainable ones. Not just alerts, but answers. What happened? Why? What to do next? 🔍 At viAct, we strongly believe trust isn't a feature you add at the end. It's an architecture decision you make from day one. And that is exactly how viAct was built – trust by design, not by default. 🛡️ #viAct #ResponsibleAI #AIInConstruction #AIForGood

I'll be sharing at The Singapore Contractors Association Ltd (SCAL) Productivity & Technology Week 2026 (23-27 March 2026). 🏗️ The built environment is at an interesting crossroads right now: rising productivity expectations, evolving safety standards, and technology that's finally mature enough to make a real difference on the ground. The SCAL Productivity & Technology Week brings together the right people to have those conversations – regulatory voices, industry practitioners, and technology innovators, all under one roof. I'm thrilled to share: how AI-VSS and Agentic AI function together to turn construction site into an autonomous monitoring ecosystem – a topic I think will genuinely change how you think about what's possible on a construction site in the era of AI. Come with questions. And I would love to answer. Mark your calendar: 📅 02:30-03:00pm 24 March, 2026 📍 SCAL Construction Hub - 1/F MPH, 10 Tannery Lane, Singapore Registration is open now 👇 https://lnkd.in/gMCnBDHf See you at SCAL Productivity & Technology Week 2026! #viAct #SCAL2026 #Singapore #ConstructionAI #BuiltEnvironment

  • You manage 6 construction sites. You have no idea which one is one shift away from a reportable incident. ⚠️ Yet somehow...   📋 Every site sends a weekly report. All of them say "no major incidents." 🚨 One site had 14 near-misses this month, buried in slide 9 of a PDF nobody opened. 🔧 Your highest-performing site on paper had 3 PPE violations before 8am today.   You didn't miss the data. You missed what the data was hiding. 📊 Here's the uncomfortable truth: Weekly reports don't show you risk. They show you history. By the time the numbers reach leadership, the window to act has already closed. 🚪   That's exactly why we built Site Wise Scorecards: One scorecard scoring every site on the same scale – live.   Not five spreadsheets with five different definitions of "safe."   So, here's the memo:   👉 Leaders: Stop asking for reports. Start asking for real-time scores you can actually compare. 👉 Safety Managers: If your data lives in a PDF, it's not working for you, it's working against you.   Don't be informed. Be aware. Safety isn't what happened last week. It's what's happening right now, on that site, in that zone, during that shift.   🔗 See how viAct's Site Wise Scorecards gives you that real-time view across every site: https://lnkd.in/gzTw8nQB   📲 Follow our WhatsApp channel for regular insights: https://lnkd.in/g8Pg3xcD   #viAct #SitewiseScorecard #ConstructionSafety #SiteManagement #SafetyLeadership #AIinConstruction #ConstructionTech #WorkplaceSafety #SafetyManagement #IncidentPrevention

🚨 Construction loses billions to unsafe sites every year. Everyone talks about the accidents. Nobody talks about the bill that follows.   Every safety conversation in construction ends the same way: zero incidents, better productivity, protect your workers.   All are important.   But nobody is talking about what poor safety is quietly doing to your insurance premiums every single renewal cycle.   Not your broker. ❌ Not your safety officer. ❌ Not the industry publications you follow. ❌   The truth is, the way you manage safety on site today is directly shaping what you pay to insure tomorrow 💸. And for years, contractors have been overpaying, not because they're unsafe, but because they had no way to prove otherwise, no language that insurers could actually trust.   📘 So, we wrote this eBook to change that conversation entirely and our E-book Construction Safety Score & Safety Credit is now live: https://lnkd.in/gVE6Q47a   It connects the dots the industry has ignored for too long: between daily site behaviour, operational risk, and the insurance costs that silently hit your bottom line on every single project.   Because safety was never just about preventing accidents 🏗️   It was always about the business of construction too. If you are a property developer, construction consultant, construction contractor or insurance provider, this e-book is for you.   📲 Also don’t forget to join our WhatsApp channel to stay ahead of conversations the industry isn't having yet: https://lnkd.in/g8Pg3xcD   #viAct #ConstructionEBook #SafetyScore #SafetyCredit #ConstructionSafety #ConstructionInsurance #PropertyDevelopers #ConstructionContractor #InsuranceProviders #ConstructionConsultants #RealEstate #HongKong #Singapore #KSA #UAE
