  • The reformers attacked Judaism or the Jews. Some scholars tried to study Paul's contemporary writings and continued the same reformed view. Sanders started believing that Paul didn't oppose his own Judaism, and the law was not meant to justify. Sanders view might be attacking the contemporary attitude if not Judaism itself, bec he believed the law could never justify. When in fact Paul honored the law never suggstd that the law was a deception of God which was worthless. The reformers cannot attack Moses, so they attack the Jews & their culture instead.
