How to connect Miro to Dropbox Dash

This article describes a feature available to all Dropbox Dash users.
You can connect your Miro account to Dropbox Dash so you can access and search your Miro content directly within Dash.
Requirements
To connect Miro to Dash, make sure you meet the following requirements:
- Admin approval: If Miro isn’t listed in your Apps, contact your admin. Learn more about admin approval.
- Authorization: You must authorize Dash in Miro.
- Active account: You need an active account with Miro.
Integration features
For Miro, Dash captures the following details:
- Miro boards: Search across boards you have access to.
API permissions
When connecting Miro with Dropbox Dash, Dash requests the following authorizations:
- Read boards you have access to: This permission allows Dash to search through your Miro boards.
- Read current team information: This permission allows Dash to collect user metadata to power Dash experience on people data.
How content syncing works
- Content sync starts as soon as you connect. Although the first sync may take several hours to finish, you can start searching while sync is in progress.
- Dash performs a full sync of your Miro content every 24 hours.
How to connect your Miro account to Dropbox Dash
To connect Miro to Dropbox Dash:
- Log in to dash.ai.
- Note: You can also connect apps from the Dropbox home page by clicking ① Ask Dash, then ① (Attach sources), then Connect apps.
- Click Apps near the bottom of the left sidebar.
- Locate Miro in the apps list.
- Click ① (add) to the right of Miro.
- Enter your login credentials, or select an account to connect to Dash.
- Review the permissions requested, then click Allow.
How to remove your Miro account from Dropbox Dash
- Log in to dash.ai.
- Note: You can also manage apps from the Dropbox home page by clicking ① Ask Dash, then ① (Attach sources), then Manage apps.
- Click Apps near the bottom of the left sidebar.
- Locate Miro in the apps list.
- Click ① (more options) to the right of Miro.
- Click Disconnect.
- Click Disconnect in the pop-up window.
- Note: You can reconnect the app anytime.
How to check your connected apps
To check what apps you’ve connected to Dropbox Dash:
- Log in to dash.ai.
- Note: You can also manage apps from the Dropbox home page by clicking ① Ask Dash, then ① (Attach sources), then Manage apps.
- Click Apps near the bottom of the left sidebar.
You’ll see a list of your connected apps in the Added section, along with their connection status.
Admins: How to connect Miro for your team
Before your team members can connect their Miro accounts to Dropbox Dash, you’ll need to enable it in the admin console. To do this:
- Log in to dash.ai using your admin credentials.
- Click your avatar (profile picture or initials) in the lower left.
- Select Admin console.
- Click Apps.
- Click the More apps tab.
- Click ①Add to the right of Miro.
- Click Enable Miro in the pop-up window.
You’ll see a notification that says Miro was enabled.
