We were proud to be represented at the Delphi Economic Forum XI, one of Europe's leading platforms for dialogue on economic, geopolitical, and social challenges.
Antonis Polemitis, our CEO, and Prof. Dr. Nikolaos Antonakakis represented the University as speakers in high-level panel discussions, contributing to global conversations on innovation, resilience, education, and the future of health and society.
Antonis Polemitis participated in the panels "Unlocking Longevity: Health, Economy and Demographic Change" and "Greece: An Emerging Educational Hub", where he highlighted the transformative impact of artificial intelligence and robotics on healthcare and education. He noted that preventive medicine is expected to become widely accessible and affordable in the coming decade, and referenced the University's research initiative UNIC Evolve, focused on AI and longevity.
He also shared insights on the internationalization of higher education, emphasizing that students first choose their field of study, then the country, and finally the university — underscoring the importance of making countries more attractive to international students and aligning programmes with clear career outcomes.
Prof. Dr. Nikolaos Antonakakis spoke at "Risk Innovation and Transformation: Resilience Across Industries", emphasizing resilience as an active strategy built on adaptability, foresight, and institutional preparedness, with universities playing a key role in shaping data-driven decision-making and leadership.
Both participations reflect the University's growing international presence and commitment to engaging with the most pressing challenges of our time.
