Accidental loss of Organization access after canceling Enterprise Trial (No other owners left) #200568

Sorry this happened. Even if you're on the Free plan, I'd still try reaching out through GitHub Support. Account and organization recovery issues like this are generally handled by Support rather than the community, especially if the organization has no remaining owners.
If the normal support flow doesn't let you submit a ticket because of your plan, mention that in your GitHub Community post and ask a GitHub staff member or moderator if they can escalate the case. Since the organization is orphaned, it's not something other users can resolve. Hope you're able to get it sorted out. |

Hi everyone,
I am facing a critical issue with my user account and my organization. I am the sole creator and developer of the organization "POWV-PROTOCOLO" (https://github.com/POWV-PROTOCOLO).
While attempting to cancel a GitHub Enterprise trial period to restore my standard account billing, my personal user profile (GabsDevX) was accidentally removed from the organization entirely.
Since I was the only member and Owner, the organization is now completely "orphaned" — it has 0 active members, but the repository and public metadata (which explicitly includes my full name and engineering email) are still live.
Because my account is on the Free tier, I cannot open a direct support ticket for organization management.
Has anyone experienced this or knows how a GitHub Staff member can intervene to re-assign my account (GabsDevX) as the Owner of POWV-PROTOCOLO?
Any help or tag to a staff member would be highly appreciated. Thanks!
