I've submitted my GitHub Education student application multiple times (5 attempts so far) and received the same generic rejection each time: "We were unfortunately not able to verify your academic status." On most attempts, the rejection listed specific reasons about my name not matching across my profile, billing info, and document — but my most recent attempts have come back with the same rejection status and an empty reasons list (no bullet points at all under the explanation).
Before this last submission, I confirmed:
My GitHub public profile name matches my billing information name exactly
I logged out and back in after making those corrections
I submitted a clean, unaltered, legible academic document (school ID card) showing a matching name and a clear, recent date
Despite all of this, the application was rejected again with no specific reason listed. Has anyone else run into an empty/generic rejection like this? Is this a known issue with the automated review system, or is there something else I should be checking that isn't covered in the standard name-matching guidance?
Any pointers — especially from anyone who's gotten an empty-reason rejection resolved — would be really appreciated.
