I don't think anyone in the community can tell you for certain whether your specific case qualifies for a refund, since that's ultimately up to GitHub's billing team. That said, five days doesn't seem unusually long for a billing/support request, especially if there has been a recent increase in Copilot-related inquiries. As for the self-service refund option, I'm not aware of any public refund button for Copilot subscriptions. In my experience, billing issues usually have to go through GitHub Support rather than being handled automatically from the account settings page. If you've already:
then I'd probably wait for a response from support before submitting additional requests, since multiple tickets can sometimes slow things down rather than speed them up. Hopefully someone from GitHub staff can clarify the current refund process, since subscription and billing policies can change over time. |

I've just been stolen 37$ on my paypal account by GitHub and not a single explanation. I had canceled my subscription long ago. |

Hello,I accidentally purchased the subscription and I didn't mean to buy it. I have already downgraded my account to the Free tier. Since it has been less than 30 days and I haven't really used any premium features, could you please review my account and process a full refund?Thank you. |

Copilot in GitHub
Body
I subscribed to Copilot Pro+ some time ago. Several days later, I realized that the billing period does not end on the last day of the month, as I originally assumed. Instead, the subscription cycle is valid until June 14th.
Given the new billing method starting in June, I decided to cancel early. On May 26th, I went to the Billing and Licensing section in my GitHub account and cancelled the subscription. I also submitted a refund request via the GitHub Support. However, it has now been five days, and I have received no feedback or updates at all.
I would like to ask:
Is my case eligible for a refund?
Is there a virtual assistant / self-service refund option for Copilot? I heard that some users were able to get a refund through a virtual assistant or automated tool. I tried to find this option myself but could not. Does such a self-service refund method currently exist for GitHub Copilot? If not, is there a more direct or faster way to process this refund?
