The settings page says: “You can turn this off at any time, regardless of enterprise or organization policy” But in practice, enterprise/org policy may still lock or enforce the setting. That would make this either: A documentation/UI text bug, or The problematic part is the phrase: “regardless of enterprise or organization policy” because that explicitly promises user override capability. A clearer behavior would be one of these: If enterprise policy overrides user choice: “Your organization may require Copilot Memory to remain enabled.” If users truly always control it: |

Copilot Enterprise
Body
If you have a personal account within an organization that provides access to Copilot Enterprise, open github.com and log in -> click on your user icon -> Copilot settings -> Ctrl+F "Copilot Memory" -> see if you can turn it off.
The text states "You can turn this off at any time, regardless of enterprise or organization policy" but as I understand it, your organization can still enforce it so that you won’t be able to disable it.
