Why can't I enable GPT 5.4-mini in my Enterprise account?

saying it's generally available, when I go to my orgs model selections at

it's not listed. What am I missing?

Hey @thatnerdyguy! GPT-5.4 mini is not auto-enabled for Enterprise — an admin must turn it on manually.

Most likely causes:

1. Policy not enabled — Go to your enterprise-level Copilot policy settings (not org-level):
   https://<hostname>/enterprises/<slug>/settings/copilot/policies and enable the GPT-5.4 mini policy there.

2. GHE version too old — If your GitHub Enterprise Server instance is outdated, the model won't appear. Check your version against the [release notes](https://docs.github.com/en/enterprise-server/admin/release-notes).

3. Rollout still in progress — The changelog says it's "rolling out," so your instance may just not have it yet. Try again in a day or two.

Even though it’s marked as “generally available,” that primarily applies to GitHub.com (cloud) — not all Enterprise setups automatically get it.
