My question is this:
If I use up all the premium requests from the one-month free Pro trial, will I be unable to use premium requests for the rest of this month even after activating GitHub Education Pro?

Hey! I checked on that Copilot Pro trial question.
The premium request quota (300 per month) resets on the 1st of every month at 00:00 UTC. Since the Education benefit is basically just a 'Pro' plan paid for by GitHub, activating it won't reset your counter if you've already used them all this month.
The good news: Even if you hit 0 premium requests, you still get unlimited chat and completions using the standard models like GPT-4o.
You only get 'throttled' on the super-heavy models like Claude or GPT-4.5 until the month resets.
So feel free to use them up you won't be totally blocked from coding! "
