Hi everyone,

My application had been "accepted" ever since I applied on Dec 27th now I log out and check back if I got the benefits and at first it still showed as accepted but no benefits, then I get an email that my application has been revoked?

This is a very disappointing turn of events but please do not lose hope because a "Revoked" status is usually a fixable technical issue rather than a permanent ban.
The most important thing to understand is that the initial "Approved" status you saw was likely an automated AI check but the 72-hour window you just went through is a secondary audit period where a more detailed verification happens.

1. Check your email immediately
   GitHub always sends an automated email when an application is revoked. Look for a message with the subject "GitHub Education - Application Update" because it will contain a specific reason such as "Your document does not show a date" or "Your location does not match your school."

   If you used a VPN or if you were physically far away from your school when you logged in to check your status GitHub's security system may have flagged the account for a "Location Mismatch."
