Description

Was excited to try out the Notes on a local install of WordPress, but when I clicked on the Notes sidebar it informed me that I cannot.

The thing is, I’m logged in, as admin nonetheless, so I am confused why I see this message. It seems like something is wrong here.

Step-by-step reproduction instructions

  1. Run a vanilla copy of WordPress locally. I do it with php -S 0.0.0.0:3880 -t src/ from the wordpress-develop git directory.
  2. Open a post in the editor.
  3. Click on the Notes sidebar.

Expect to see notes, see error message instead.
